I think this is it... I think this is how it ends
if you're stuck for something to watch tonight, you could always try this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b04mq9x6

I only post it because, well, the last time I saw the presenter we were getting very drunk at a friend's wedding terrifying another friend's teacher wife of how terrible we were in school

There's been some good gothic stuff, that prog on the George Gilbert Scott and sons was great. It's a bit funny that all of these architecture documentaries have been forced into the end of October with trailers featuring the sound of thunder and screaming women, but I guess it cant be helped.
Did anyone watch that Intruders John Simm vehicle on BBC2 last night? I got through the cold open before turning away as it looked poo poo.

I thought she was great on HIGNFY last week. Especially when she explained she wanted her daughter to marry a poor black American.

Was this the first time women outnumbered men on that show?

On the subject of HIGNFY, have a look at the extended version with the subtitles on.

I got, at the very end of the show just before it stopped, a subtitle of "It has its demons that suck the lifeblood from the city", just under hat trick productions. Is this normal, or am I actually going insane?

Weird. Maybe there from the next show that was starting afterwards...

I am very curious about this little crescendo
If that was taken from an off-air recording instead of being taken from the HIGNFY master tape delivered to the BBC, then it may be that it had subtitle data from the trailer immediately following the HatTrick Endboard.

People Like Us is back tonight on BBC3. I was interviewed for it a few months ago at the wrestling. The people talking me through it wouldn't tell me the name of the show, just that it was 'about exploring local people in Chelmsley Wood'. I asked 'Is it People Like Us?' and they just looked at me agog for a moment before confirming.

I can barely remember series 1, only from the ads really. It was about poor people in the north wasn't it? The Guardian gave a small write-up on tonight's episode and lead with 'the controversial show returns', so it sounds like poverty porn to me.

Anyway, I spoke for over 5 minutes to camera, and knowing they'll take about 15 seconds, I'm terrified of what I've said if it's denied its context, and all things considered, I hope my bit doesn't make air. I was on TV once this year, and that's enough for me.

BBC4 has a programme called Spider House on tonight, where they let a wide variety of spiders loose on an empty house and document their spidery little adventures and try to convince us they're really sweet, misunderstood beasties.

Not sure if the best way of doing this is to show millions of spider babies hatching out of a dolls' glassy eye socket. :stare:

poo poo is hard to watch. I've seen these cuntlords (and ladies) in the past and they are horrific humans.
800 years of inbreeding, wealth and privilege, and the end result isn't pretty. Figuratively, or literally.
Doubt I'll make it to the end of the episode, it's more of a challenge than any sort of entertainment.

I wanted to watch the Mercury prize show* as the son of a good friend is/was a finalist (he didn't win :( ), but I couldn't take more than 30 seconds of Nick Grimshaw, sadly. He has the same effect on me as Alan Titchmarsh does on that character in Modern Toss, dunno why

I'm going to have to wait until it's on 4oD so I can skip directly to my guy's performance (East India Company).

On a totally unrelated note, has anyone watched The Missing? Found it a bit difficult to take at first but really well put together and incredibly gripping. Avoid watching if you have children, would like to have children, know any children or are planning to form an emotional attachment to a child at any stage of your life.

Anyone who likes horror movies should take a look at Horror Europa with Mark Gattis. It aired last year, but they've put if back on iplayer for halloween, so if you didn't catch it then, it's definitely worth a watch. Even if you don't like horror movies I'd skip around the 1st 1/4 for the discussions about shampoo as a prop.

Also, is this The Missing an English remake of the French remake?
