I just want to remind anybody not paying attention that the Rusty With Hair plot VERY LIKELY isn't going to be resolved on Sunday. We're going to see Dean's story and then the episode will end at more or less the same place chronologically.

Bonus points to Doc and Jackson if the entire thing is a red herring and after two weeks of blueballs it turns out to just be a punchline or setup to a joke.

This is the Venture Brothers. Don't forget that.

I still think its Bowie, asking them about Dr. Impossible and Phantom Limb.

We're going to get Dean's half, and then a fake teaser for an episode about mystery Rusty, and then Escape to the House of Mummies Part 1.

He took a vow of silence before he was a bodyguard though. He never talks in any of the scenes taking place when Rusty's a kid, and says he took the vow for killing a great man - so he obviously couldn't have killed Jonas.

Nope. Kano told Brock his silence was penance for taking from the world a great man. You might interpret this as meaning Jonas Venture Senior but Kano is shown as being mute already during his time with the original Team Venture. So whoever he killed, it was before he met Jonas.

I really like this show way too much.

On the plus side, they'll be in the city, so we might get to see that freaky Spider-man parody from the video season preview. Who I could imagine having ties to a super-science building in the city, which is where Dean is going be working...

Hell, aside from the first episode last season, I can't recall any recent ones that had a full (or even half) intro credits sequence.

I had a conspiracy theory for a little while that Tara Quymn and Rusty were at least half-siblings - they're the same age, look similar, their parents were having sex, and both had twins. Then I remembered JJ and that went out the window. It would be funny though, just an extra level of sickness on top of everything else.

I'm pretty sure Doc and Jackson have complained about cutting stuff from episodes running long already so I'd guess they want to maximize the amount of time you're actually watching the show as opposed to the credits. Kind of like an opposite Simpsons.

How does JJ refute the possibility that Tara and Rusty are related? Not every pregnancy leads to twins. Look at Dermott. Also the show itself hinted that they're half-siblings. Colonel Gentleman admits at one point that Tara is his stepdaughter.

I guess I was thinking triplets, and we see no hint of Tara being in there with Rusty and JJ, but I guess it's possible, although Tara's mom really doesn't have a "gave birth to triplets" body, and it's also possible they were born at different times, so I have no idea.

Did they really hint at that in the show? In the commentary they mention her being teased as a possible mother for the boys, with the idea that Rusty met up with her when they were in their twenties, but then wrote that they hadn't met since they were ten.

e: I also thought they might be twins since twins have a higher probability of having twins themselves.

It's funny.. because I doubt Publick and Hammer have even considered who or what Rusty's Mom is.. because it hasn't been important. I have all bets on Test Tube Baby, because Jonas is far too busy to actually wait for a pregnancy.

Lord knows he had a team to look after Rusty. I wouldn't want to be woken up by The Action Man either.

I had the same theory as well. It really makes an already uncomfortable episode even weirder. And that's exactly why it strikes me as something Doc and Jackson would do.

You're assuming Tara's mom might be Rusty's mom. but that would make them full siblings. The show hints at Jonas Sr. being Tara's dad. And therein lies the blood relations. Tara's mom is a non-factor here.

Anyone have any news about the panel @ NY Comicon?

I tried to get in, but the line was a good 500 people deep 2 hours before hand. At least I got to meet and get a picture w/ a confused and at the time badgeless Doc Hammer, who was literally going up to anyone with any Venture paraphernalia on them asking if they knew where the Comedy Central banner was, as that's where the Adult Swim person was going to meet him.

I guess that could work too but how did she end up being raised by Ms. Quymn then? The reason I originally threw out the idea was I envisioned Rusty and Tara as twins but then went "OK, but JJ was in there too..." I guess theoretically they could have been quadruplets with the Monarch but that just means I'm nuts.

What? You're making things complicated. Rusty and Tara should have two completely separate mothers. They're not twins, but they're probably half-siblings through the father.

The Monarch's parents were already explained anyways in the very first episode.
