Did some changing around, and a LOT of messing with the color of several widget's text (using the color picker in Paint.NET helped, but since the color selector in the widgets never gives exact RGB values, it was still a bit of a guessing game.) Click here for the full 480x800 image. ![]() Click here for the full 480x800 image. (obviously I don't really have a big black box there.) The icons, clock, calendar, and weather are all different colors, technically, so I think I did a decent job of matching them. I'm going to try and make my own icons in the same style for the icons underneath the calendar (the set I downloaded has a lot of common ones, but no calculator or notes)...shouldn't be too hard, as long as I can find the font used (anyone have an idea?) Just modify one of the existing ones with different words, should be simple...right? The only thing I don't care for is the wifi, silent, and vibrate widgets. They don't fit the rest of the theme. And if I could make battstat have two colors so it matched a little better, that'd be great, but not needed. Anyone know of any vibrate/silent/wifi toggle widgets that are text only? Ideally, they would just be the word "silent" and "vibrate," and 'active' would be one color, and 'de-active' would be another...user changeable, of course. I'm guessing that no such widget exists...

It's a lot easier for me to have my most used programs on one of my three desktops, At most, it's one swipe and one click. Not three swipes through my dock, then a swipe up, then a click, then do the hokey-pokey...but you didn't have to open the app drawer, so I guess you win! I'm in the same boat - I keep 8 apps that I use all the time on my main homescreen plus a folder for games. I've been working to get a design I actually like for a long while. I'm using the HTC Wildfire, and a number of the "normal" widgets anti-alias quite badly (such as desktop visualiser) when you really want pixel-sharp icons. Thus, here is my attempt at a usable and interesting interface. I'm using the transparent LPP mod, some home-made icons, beautiful widgets weather (4x1), Cyanogen Mod 6.1 (status bar/menu), app organiser (not directly shown, but forms two folders I link to) and Agenda Widget. Left/Middle/Right ![]() Orange text is the swipe action for that icon. Cyanogen Status Menu (I love this thing!!!) ![]() Rather than a minimalist interface (which I might yet resort to), I'm trying to work on a first/second order of accessibility design. Thus the most important stuff should look at you as soon as you open the phone - calendar, weather (0 presses). Next is the 10 available shortcuts on the home screen (1 press/swipe - apart from items in the game folder, that's 2), and the friends widget and favourite contacts widget (1 swipe left/right). Everything else is two away (apart from items in the tools folder, which is three). Power control, other apps. It sounds really pretentious, but I've been unemployed for a week (post-University), and I'm already super bored.

I'm probably the last person on earth to figure this out, but in LauncherPro you can change the swipe action to launch a specific FolderOrganizer folder. And have FolderOrganizer folders set up with labels so it opens up those folders on swipe up. And, you can add the LP activities to launch specific poo poo inside of apps when inside an FO folder. One screen to rule them all (except for two screens to work as widget screens)(work in progress) Example 1. Here's my main screen. ![]() Example 2. Swiping up on the apps drawer icon, I've changed the action to open a FolderOrganizer link to a folder with these other FO folders that are labeled in the link: ![]() Example 3. Here's what happens when I click on the "multimedia" folder ![]() Example 4. Here's what happens when you can create a folderorganizer folder and choosing LauncherPro activities (which are basically shortcuts to an applications activity). In this example, swiping up on the phone icon opens two Activies options- I can either go straight to call log, or straight to phone dial (both activities within the 'contacts' app). Regular press on the phone icon takes me to contacts. ![]() LP would be even sweeter if they integrated some sort of radial menu poo poo, or had something that did this natively. edit2: cool, folderorganizer also lets you make the folder backgrounds transparent Doctor Butts fucked around with this message at Nov 12, 2010 around 21:03 |

The way you disable the date in Android Agenda is to "disable top toolbar." Not very intuitive but there it is.
