You schedule types of laundry? Do you just wash all your darks at the same time every week no matter what amount of dark clothes you actually need to wash?

Oh no

Events can be one-time affairs, you know. See: Mazda Inspection. Also, might be a shared calendar.

Although that laundry thing made me double-take, too. My wife would nod her head approvingly at your list-making prowess, yam.

I do my laundry in marathon sprints all at once every two weeks or so once I run out of clean stuff to wear. It drives my fiancé batty. In android desktop news I nearly have my December/Christmas desktop completed; it just needs a little more icon editing. Is deviant art usually the best place to find icon sets? I'm using the suave set because it is good looking and currently all the rage, but I'd like to find something more suited to android.

This might be a dumb question, but how do you have the event indendented so it doesn't line up with the day in Pur Calendar? Every line of text on mine lines up exactly which makes it more difficult to read. I'm using the transparent theme as well.

Edit: Here's what mine looks like for reference. I've played around with text size and still can't get mine to look like yours.

I don't know if I'm completely happy with it, especially the left screen, but this is what I came up with for December.

Left screen is beautiful widgets with the 3DWeather skin
Center screen is Digital Clock Widget by Maize, Smooth Calendar and SMS Unread Count
Right screen also has SMS Unread count, and the Launcher Pro Plus Friends widget.

The icon set is suave (deviant art) that I modified with some stuff I stole from color me android. The wallpaper is something I quickly hacked together from something I found on Deviant Art.

I don't think yamdankee is using the transparent theme, looks like koxx:black or something with the transparency turned way up, like mine, rather than the fully transparent one.

I double checked, it is the transparent theme.

I think what was making the indent were those colored bars just to the left of the text. I disabled "Show events calendar and tasks priority as color bars/plots" in the Colors tab. Now the space for the bars is there, but the bars are not there, so it's technically indented.

I'm using Google Stock Calendar, Normal text size, and Maximum number of lines used per event: 1. I hope one of those settings does it for you.

As far as the laundry, yeah it's a shared calendar with my wife. I do the darks Tuesday and the lights Friday. Trust me that I would forget if I didn't schedule it. She basically does everything else around the house.

How are you guys getting Pure Calendar to have that layout? I've only been able to display either the entire month or a full week but nothing like that. If it matters i got a server unavailable error on the skinning page don't know if that would have anything to do with it.

I have the color bars disabled too, and I'm using the same text size on one line. When I turned on the color bars they showed up to the left of the text, still leaving all lines of text lined up together. I wonder what the difference is.

I do have a question though, does anyone know if it is possible to get MetaMorph working on a Rooted Desire running 2.2? I am having trouble finding anything saying yes at the moment sadly.

If your phone is rooted the app itself should work, yes.

It required BusyBox. 99% of rooted roms have this, but there's the possibility there are some that don't.

New home screen and lock screen.

Both screens:
Unread SMS with icons from here: http://www.colormeandroid.com/2010/11/legacy.html
SiMi Clock (Once with transparent text for homescreen clock bar).

Widget Locker:
Slide with Agenda Widget "Event List" activity link.
Doubletwist widget
BattStatt

Home Screen (LPP - using modded 50% black version + non-fullscreen widgets (Here)):
Beautiful Widgets Weather 4x1 (hide current weather)
Analogue Clock Collection
Custom arrow dock icon: White and Black

Wallpaper changes pretty regularly, but current one came from the zip of wallpapers at the beginning of this thread.

That one isn't compatible with HTC Desire apparently

spent a long time today playing with ROMs and terminals and it just doesn't seem possible on the Desire because of some security bullshit they bundled with this and not the Nexus One. If someone can prove me wrong then I will love them forever, but in the mean time I will play with what I have!

I'm having a bit of trouble with Desktop Visualizer and a different problem with OpenDesire.

This is how my homescreen looks after spending hours making all my own images:

This is how it's supposed to look:

It seems Desktop Visualizer is compressing the images for some retarded reason and making them all blurry. Is there anyway I can fix this or any alternative to Desktop Visualizer?

The other problem is that I've used the UOTK to get those icons and my percentage battery, but when it's not charging/100%, the text in the centre of the battery goes pixelated. Also for some reason, even though I selected to change the notification window, when you pull down the notification bar, it's still stuck with the default cyanogenmod one.

Here is what I mean: http://i54.tinypic.com/2pt78l3.png

Make your images slightly smaller or larger, it's resizing them. My guess is smaller, but I seriously can't notice much of a difference in those two images.

And disable the Battery Meter in Cyanogen, that's what's screwing up the battery.

The images are the exact size that they're displayed at, I've tried doing it a few pixels less and more but it's a no go.

Also I can't believe I didn't realize that I had the battery meter enabled. As soon as you said that I could see the black 99 in the screenshot. Thanks mang.

You gotta make a bigger widget than you need and then resize it to the size you want.

Bottom was resized down.

Kinda tricky once you start filling up the screen though.

edit: It looks like you can resize it all the way down to 1x1 and then back up to whatever you need as long as you start bigger. That way you can make room for more widgets and then resize them again when you've got what you want on the screen.

do you need to do anything special to preserve the transparency around the edges? alpha channels and whatnot? or just don't put anything there and it'll work?

Nothing special, exporting as a PNG-24 with Transparency in Photoshop preserves all the transparencies.
