The brown fuzzy character in Problem Solverz is some of the worst voice acting I've heard in ages. I don't know why they thought it would be clever or funny--I also got the same Aqua Teen vibe. It seems like they put as much effort into it as Super Jail but it fell flat just like the robot show that was canceled. Goddamn what were they thinking? Especially since it's on the Cartoon Network side and not on the Adult Swim side. The Regular Show, though, was awesome. I thought that Rigby being such a dick almost undermined his character, though. Since he brought the Single White Female scenario on himself he didn't seem as cute or redeemable. It seemed like it needed a few more minutes of story to really make sense.

Its kinda funny. CN was in this sort of dead zone until Chowder came out. It was fantastic and I couldn't get enough of it. Then Flapjack came out and I felt bored of Chowder. Then in the middle of Flapjack's tenure, they announce Adventure Time. I'd been waiting for that since the pilot leaked on youtube years before. Adventure Time premiered and I got bored of Flapjack. Then I saw my first episode of Regular Show and now whenever I watch Adventure Time, I just wish it was Regular Show instead. Problem Solverz is an affront to all the senses, so I won't be getting tired of Regular Show for a long long time. Its just so refreshing to have a cartoon be so mellow (at the start) and genuinely funny as Regular Show.

Am I the only one who thought Fosters was awesome? There was a time right before Chowder showed up that it was the only thing that CN showed that even interested me.

No, Foster's was genuinely cool. It's hard not to be that cool when you have a homage to The Big Lebowski in an episode.

Foster's was the last really great Original that CN had until Chowder and it's ilk came about. It was a charming show with a great visual style, decent writing, and good characters. Everything that came after it felt off. It really was a holdover from the Cartoon Cartoon era, before they seemed to cheat off of Nick and Disney's papers.

The thing about Foster's that bugged me was that so many people living in a magical world populated by beings who were anthropomorphic childlike whimsy were really uptight.

Bloo!< >Also, I think the overall point of the show is that the "uptight" people eventually outgrew their imaginary friends, leaving them with nowhere to go. You'd need the uptight people for the home to exist in the first place. I seriously think that Foster's being cancelled was a breaking point for me with Cartoon Network. It's also around the time they started embracing this whole CN thing, so that might ahve something to do with it. Chowder was the first good show to come out during the CN times, I think.

I suppose when whimsy becomes commonplace, it ceases to be whimsical. People can become accustomed to and bored by anything after a while. Baa, I'm a horsie!

Maxx was one of those shows that was always on at like 1am, watched entirely at a time when I wasn't used to staying up that late so everything on TV at 1am seemed so weird and exotic. Looking back at it I don't think it was anything amazing, but it was one of those shows I'll always remember.
