Neeksy posted:Goddamn, Rigby sure dies a lot in this series. Only twice! With a third 'near' death if you count getting one's soul forcibly evicted from one's body as a death. Skips and Mordecai are both sitting at about a death a piece too, though. (...okay, so Mordecai's was another iffy case since he was obviously alive enough to have freakish dreams about HOT DOG RIGBY ATTACK, but still.) And Rigby totally deserved it after the S that went down in Do Me A Solid.

Are we counting that time they were turned into ghosts? That was pretty dead-ish.

Futurama meets Regular Show. Yes! Edit: Awesome hood slide there, Muscle Man. Edit 2: Night Owl's a Cyborg Edit 3: The security guards are Logan's Run Sandmen. They even have the hover Segways. Edit 4: OH NOES, TIME PARADOX! Young Freud fucked around with this message at May 31, 2011 around 00:26 |

muscles like this? posted:They also said "Stop, runners." When I saw those "hover Segways" platform (can't imagine anything else to call them) I knew I saw them before, and their black and white outfits seemed fairly generic until they said that. When the guards said that, I knew it was a Logan's Run ref.

For me the most surprising joke in that episode was the "second base" one. That's not really something you expect to hear on a regular CN show.

That was a really good episode, but I think I laughed at the last ten seconds more than anything. The expressions were so good

Yeah, now I want an episode where after Mordecai's latest attempt to impress Margaret she says "Oh, have you met my new boyfriend, paradox-Mordecai? He's from an alternate future!"

Dolash posted:Yeah, now I want an episode where after Mordecai's latest attempt to impress Margaret she says "Oh, have you met my new boyfriend, paradox-Mordecai? He's from an alternate future!" There's a part of me that actually wants to see their paradox-duplicates continuing to run around. Actually, I would've killed if J.Q. Quintel had expanded that episode to a full-length 24-minute episode or a two-parter.

Am I the only one who thought the car was going to land on the night owl when they came out of the portal? Just to see how far they'd push the futurama thing

change my name posted:Am I the only one who thought the car was going to land on the night owl when they came out of the portal? Just to see how far they'd push the futurama thing I was kinda expecting it, but I think they went with it landing on the car because, if they killed the Night Owl, then they'd get a free muscle car out of it. This way, they still ruin the Night Owl, but they get nothing out of it. Also, I love the fact that the prize car was the Night Owl's personal car. He risked everything on that stunt. Holy poo poo, I didn't realize it until now that the audience for the stunt was likely from the future, so Future Night Owl rigged his own popularity.

The last time Mordecai and Rigby met their future selves and prevented said future from happening they disappeared. This time despite preventing the contest their future selves are still there Tomorrow I will make a gif of Modecai stabbing muscleman and high five ghost flying up from his corpse.

You know, all and all I think Benson is mostly getting used to the expensive antics Mordecai and Rigby end up getting in at the end of each episode? A destroyed fountain, overturned truck and some random murdered guy? Nothing to really raise a fuss over at this point.

JT Jag posted:A destroyed fountain, overturned truck and some random murdered guy? Nothing to really raise a fuss over at this point. At least nobody on the staff died or got massively injured. After the last few episodes, that's remarkably well-off. The park's insurance premiums must be ludicrous by this point.
