I've loved this show ever since I stumbled upon it a few weeks ago. Everything about it's great. It's funny, has a great animation style, and I prefer its "slice of life goes insane" approach to those like Scott Pilgrim's. Mordecai and Rigby's lazy antics remind me so much of wasted days over the summer with my friends.

Also, Caffeinated Coffee Beans indirectly led to me getting wasted and serenading hundreds of people with "Working For The Weekend" at karaoke this weekend, so there's that too.

The montages of Rigby getting hurt repeatedly are comic gold. I had to pause at the end one when after 5 or 6 punches, Mordecai kicks him in the dingleberries, I was laughing so hard.

Tonight was the first time I saw fanfiction and shipping of Regular Show online.

I think my only exposure to the show from now on will be this thread and the program itself.

I started watching 'Ello, Guvnor. In the first ten seconds, when the video store guy came up and then Rigby walked away, my roommate asked "Will we see him again?" I said "Probably not, they've done one-off stuff like that before."

...nice Chekov's Video Store Guy, Regular Show writers.

For the slightest moment I felt I was falling away from this show.

Realistic Mordecai and Rigby, the Pops spinning montage, and both this and the last episode's endings have fixed that. I love this show so much. Again.

This store manager is pretty much every gaming store manager I've ever met.

If it weren't for the awesome payoff I'm expecting, I'd wish Mordecai and Rigby would just sell their copy for 25% off.

-poo poo JUST GOT REAL.

Edit: Haha, Pops' weapon in the RPG is The Power

Anyone else notice the VCR stuck on 4:20? In one shot it changed to 9:35, and then it changed back and Rigby's hand went through the clock.

Strange. I wonder if the changing time was censorship, self-censorship or a sly nod?

Tonight's episode, which centered around hipsters and featured a trial where Mordecai and Rigby were charged with being too cool, may have been one of the best in the series' run.

Where is everyone getting that Kid Cudi was in the episode? Green Hat sounded like Tyler again.

Yeah, Tyler himself tweeted that he played the kid in the yellow hat and green hoodie.

Before tonight's episode, in which the park gets a new cart (the Guten Tag), check out this Teefury shirt. I prefer the other Regular Show shirt they sold, but this will probably interest someone.

My personal favorite is Death Punchies because of the sheer escalation and speed of the plot, the 80s references, "NOOOO!", cutoffs and mullets, "duh duh duh duh duh, DIG CHAMPS!", and of course the montage set to "You're The Best Around."

Just follow the show on Facebook or the creators on Twitter tonight. Tonight's episode is called Unpranked, I think, and it's about Muscle Man nearly killing Pops and having to quit pranking for good.

New Halloween special teaser up now: https://www.facebook.com/RegularShow

What I want to know: who the hell is the overweight, long-haired blue jay Mordecai is bowling with? A parent or relative? Him from the distant future?

Are we doing the thing where we post ourselves on Halloween?

More people recognized my costume at early-twenties NYC and late-teens college parties than they did when I was giving out Halloween candy to neighborhood kids, which was odd.

To bring the subject back around, here's the preview for the next episode, "Party Horse." Looks like it's going to be a lot of fun.

Who is the voice actor playing Party Horse? I've heard that voice before. Like, a lot. It's not TJ Miller, but it's close.

Oh, wait, it's Adam Pally! From Happy Endings and various mediocre things that don't hold up like Happy Endings!

Part of this is that we're all adults getting mad about a cartoon bird who sucks at romance. Even though it's running the same concepts into the ground, it's good for the kids watching to have it reinforced that being a total chode about relationships is a really bad thing, even if the writing's not close to what Steven Universe or, to a lesser extent, Adventure Time pull off regularly. But at the same time, yeah, to say the writers are handling this well would not be an accurate statement. Next thing you know, they'll break up Rigby and Eileen and thrust them into a love pentagon. Hell, bring back Thomas and make it a love hexagon or some poo poo, I wouldn't put them past it.

The only episode I enjoyed this week was the third Death Kwon Do. Everything else just felt weak. If the movie is great, I'll stick with the show, but if they really are losing the thread (and it's been on for five years come September, so that's entirely believable at this point) I'm probably out for good. Which, considering my avatar and the Mordecai hanging in my room I got from Dave and Buster's, would be pretty big for me.

The NYE episode was 18 months and 47 episodes ago. And we're still loving dealing with the will-they-won't-they, which won't end anytime soon.

In that light I think I'm finally downgrading this show from "watch regularly" to "check the thread once a month" and burning my Mordecai and the Rigby's shirt in effigy.

Well not the second one because that thing is loving sweet but definitely the first one.

News: According to Mark Hamill's Twitter, posts now deleted, Regular Show will end with the upcoming eighth season.

Views: It's sad but I think it's about time. The show stagnated after a while and wasted too much time on the wrong relationships, it squandered a lot of its potential as time went on but it still has a very good legacy to look back on. Come Labor Day it'll have been on TV for six years.

The sad thing about last season was that it was a good return to form, and Rigby's redemption story arc was far more enjoyable to follow than Season 6's horrible Mordecai love triangle arc. But to say it didn't stick the landing in the finale is an understatement. At least "Regular Show Season 8: Lost In Space" will give the show an opportunity to end on a good note, even though the cast of characters will be limited to the ones that aren't on Earth.

I wouldn't be surprised if JG Quintel is ending it because he wants to start something new.

I'm pretty sure CN told the showmakers about the end of the show, so they're doing some crazy stuff to go out on a high note.

But these two images illustrate why the show was canceled. Season 6 ratings vs. Season 7:
