Avatars of the coffee montage would be awesome. Almost as awesome as FIST PUMP.

Erotic Thomas posted:Those games came on much larger storage media than what those cartridges were supposed to be. Impossible Mission came on a tape and Castle Wolfenstein's audio was practically incomprehensible, despite being on a floppy disk. My Commodore Impossible Mission came on a single sided 170K floppy disk. NES cartridges weren't that far off... I'm just sayin' that this sort of thing isn't impossible from games of the time. Of course, it's because the C64 had the superior sound chip known as the SID that made synthesized speech possible.

For people saying this show doesn't need character development, it felt like Rigby sure got a good amount in this one. Assuming it sticks, of course.

I love how the truck is basically a Jeep Comanche. Now that's obscure.

I hate the drat credits squishing. Cartoon network should be ashamed. Who was Peeps? He sounded like Long John Baldry, except he's dead.

You realize that you now need a realistic Mordecai/Rigby avatar now, Marty.

Loved the little musical shout-out to Punch-Out in this episode. edit: also clearly obvious homage to Catscratch Fever.

I'm not sure what I just watched there. All I know is that it was awesome. I wonder what JG Quintel would be able to do if he got ZZ Top in this show.

ToastyPotato posted:He was making them do the work that they had kept blowing off. Punishment for slacking. That was a late night post, so I should clarify - I meant the final task (sorting that garage), he's obviously loving with them at that point. I do kind of like the sort of cosmic odds against Mordecai and Rigby - even when they're doing their jobs in a sort of non-slacking way (during the montage) things beyond their control come to screw them up, like the leaves being blown in the wind after they raked them all up. I dunno, the episode just felt very unsatisfying to me. M & R didn't learn a lesson, they were just left empty handed and nobody grew or changed at the end. The punishment wasn't amusing, either, though I'm sure Benson enjoyed the burgers. They'll still be slacking next week. The show's normally very good at having some sort of growth beyond its usual reset button (e.g. the relationship stuff a few weeks ago). (I really did love the raining hail of rocks at the glass holograms, though. Beautiful scene)
