Judging by this wednesday's comic, we're seeing the penultimate moments of Jeanne's life - right now I'm wondering what exactly the Elf guy will do when he sees her death.

Honestly right now the only thing I'm wondering is why Jeanne is the "sacrifice" when the other dude got shot. That page really had me convinced the arrow was intended for her. Presumably they kill her too, in some manner. I'm not sure you can make a conclusive statement about the angle the arrow was fired at. In any case they're already talking like Jeanne is dead. There's definitely no arrow in the corpse so presumably Jeanne wasn't shot. Maybe we'll know in 9 hours.

Rereading the old pages has really got me wondering exactly what went on when Reynardine entered the stuffed dog. It sure looked like he was going for Annie, but given how he adores Surma killing her daughter seems a bit off. However, if he was actually going for the dog toy, he wouldn't have reacted so strongly to Jim knocking her out of the way... Unless what he was actually so concerned about was realizing the dog would trap him clearly for the first time. If we assume that the actual sequence is: attempts to get in dog, Annie is knocked out of the way, he realizes he'd be forced to serve Annie, then it makes a bit more sense. It still doesn't quite feel like it fits, visual-composition-wise, but that may just be trying to throw us. Or I'm just crazy. wdarkk fucked around with this message at 06:38 on Sep 30, 2010 |

Another random theory: someone mentioned that there wasn't an "order" deity to serve as a mirror to Coyote. I'm going to postulate that the mechanical birds either were made by or are collectively said deity. If you believe Ms Donlan, the court doesn't know anything about them and have NEVER been able to catch one. Plus a whole bunch saved Annie, which means either they're really nice or they consider her important. EDIT: More support wdarkk fucked around with this message at 21:41 on Oct 7, 2010 |

Annie to let you tag along." However, the way she's holding the eye makes it seem important.

Maybe the Court just has lovely cel phone reception (due to all those electrical experiments) and metered internet (I'm pretty sure this is more common in the UK).

idonotlikepeas posted:I was interested to see Coyote's binding disappear. I suppose it's less of an issue now since Coyote has control over Annie's visits (whereas he presumably didn't want to be following her around everywhere while she was living in the forest for months). Yeah, when I first saw it I wondered if it was just becoming invisible but on closer examination it definitely seemed to be breaking up.
