I was going to post that one fellow's dumb rant verbatim, with names changed and whatnot, but I decided I'd rather talk about how Annie may indeed harbor romantic feelings towards Kamlen, that one green fellow from the forest. Which would, of course, make for a pretty neat parallel to Jeanne and her greenish suitor. Or not! But it'd be neat.

Don't be silly, Coyote is Dan Castalanetta doing a less-hammy robot devil. Also Boxbot is John Lovitz. As is Robox.

It needs Bill Nighy in there somewhere. I'd suggest a role, but to be frank he could play any voice the movie would require of him. Bill Nighy as Paz.

Kismet posted:Just want to alert the thread that September 12th-18th has been declared Gunnerkrigg Week on tumblr. E.K. Weaver of TJ and Amal is participating, as are a whole ton of other people. I realise this thread is not tumblr, but I think it would be pretty neat to take it as a cue for some doodling. My personal challenge to myself is going to be to draw something other than Annie and Coyote. Y'all should also take the opportunity this week to talk GC up to friends who haven't already heard of it and/or donate or buy some GC merch. Like that's not an official tumblr thing but why not turn it into a Gunnerkrigg appreciation week?

Hey, speaking of updates, does everyone realize we are now a scant 9 updates from 1000 pages of Gunnerkrigg? I know page milestones are probably not on the forefront of anyone's mind, but still, nice going Tom!

Coyote is, basically, Dan Castalanetta's Robot Devil, if a bit more toned down. And now that I think about it, Karen Gilliam would make a stellar Parley.

Warning: Chibisoma parody ahead Really. I'm going to start magically liking Kamlen and the fact that Tom's ensured we won't get anything resembling a Kat/Annie end? Great, one more boring-rear end elf/human romance. Tons of potential lost and for what? Because Tom didn't feel like taking any chances. That's for the two designated 'weird' kids in the comic, huh? Can't have the human characters interested in each other, despite all the little hints (and sometimes not so little ones) dropped all over the place. Must make them straight, boring, and ensure they wind up with the worst characters in the comic. Yeah, tell me what there is to look forward to with this couple, hoss. You seem to be all for it. Kamlen's the most boring lead in any romance since Chiba Mamoru from Sailormoon. : There's not a single interesting (or redeeming) thing about him and yet it's looking increasingly like Annie's going to end up with him. Because Annie got Forest Fever, that's why. God forbid GCC take a chance with anything. Nope, must conform to the status quo and leave that monospecies poo poo to the weirdo characters, right? Yeah, no. gently caress you and gently caress Tom. I guess it's nice he made a 'please stop reading my webcomic, it's becoming like any other teen romance strip' arc though. Real considerate-like. Always good to see straightforward, boring fuckin' romance blooming. And at the end, Annie'll die in the river, and Kat'll be there to mope around and build all the robots or some other stereotypically generic thing. Because the kids must be like the court founders, always and forever. VVV Tell you what I'll spoiler it. FunkyAl fucked around with this message at May 12, 2012 around 03:31 |

You know the foot COULD be Alistair's. Kat did just get a love letter, and the difficulty of handwriting a note while also maintaining status as a bird could explain it being presented on dot-matrix printer paper.
