I think it speaks to the craftsmanship of this show that I saw the squid-ink-cake gag coming a mile away and still laughed when it happened.

I feel the same way. This is a surprisingly well-done show.

257 de gesos in 3 episodes.

At this rate I think that means they overtake the number of extraneous "desu"s in all of Rosen Maiden at around 7 episodes of Squid Girl.

Non-stop looping version.

Or, for those who don't have a nico account (and want to know how to do this with any video), you can simulate that by going to http://www.youtuberepeater.com/watch?v=ncLp-uco3qg and then clicking on the link under the youtube box and setting starting time to 0:17 and ending time to 1:04 (I don't think there's a way to do that setting in the url.).

Yeah, it's kind of annoying; I guess I'll have to stay out of this thread except for the correct days.

I'm not ashamed to admit that that segment might be my favorite part of the show yet. What other animated shows would know about the Fields Medal? Well, Futurama, but aside from that.

I kept trying to press start, but it doesn't work: +

Also the super-low-res kana is a nice touch.

Why has everyone forgotten about spoiler tags in this thread? The episode's not even going to be up on Crunchyroll for a few days, let alone be not-the-newest-episode.

Edit: To clarify, even if Crunchyroll were same-day for this show, episode 11 would still be the newest episode that aired, and hence need spoiler tags.

I'm saying we don't get enough good gag comedies, don't take this away from me.

I was also thinking about Galaxy Angel when Raenir Salazar started talking about what would happen if Ika Musume kept going for a long time.

Is the girl in the hat who gives Ika advice a regular character in the manga later?

The manga stuff has been covered, but am I the only one who remembers seeing her in an earlier episode? IIRC they made it pretty clear in that former episode that she was some sort of sea creature, if not which one.

Perhaps it's in the hopes of mimicking the success of K-ON!, whose second season was titled "K-ON!!"

I think "Negima!?" was a reboot of "Negima!". That was the worst because adding punctuation changed the type of show it was, as opposed to merely denoting a different season.

I didn't dig that debut episode at all. The whole thing seemed a bit more mellow than it was before, from the music to the characterization, and the direction... I dunno. Feels like it's comedic teeth have been ground down, if not completely removed. More of an iyashi-kei feel
I feel the same way about these things. The image in Super Jay Mann's post was nice, but I hope the show gets better.
