Is there a way to assign stand-ins to specific instruments like in RB2, or does everyone just move around now due to the vocal matching?

I expect the orders for other instruments are about if you look, or you could just trial & error it.

Dr.Smasher posted:The endless setlists are brutal for singers. Your voice will take a day or two to recover from the 4+ hours of singing, even with 4 bottles of water, 2 cans of Mountain Dew, and 2 cans of Leinenkugel's Original Lager. I remedied this when I did the ES2 by taking several 15-20 minute breaks in the middle of the set (since I wasn't going for the bladder of steel achievement, gently caress that). I was doing it on election day 2008 so I kept wanting to check the news. What really sucked, though, was it wound up taking nearly 7 hours instead of the usual ~5 hours. I'm toying with the idea of doing the ES3, but I'm just not sure it'd be worth it. I mainly just play with the roommate nowadays instead of online, and about the only point of the ES3 (to me) is online bragging rights.

There's no way to get the bladder of steel trophy as a singer since you're downing so much in fluids to keep the vocal chords from clawing their way out of your throat.

So I posted last page but it's a bit buried. I'm looking at getting the MIDI keyboard adapter for my partner's ps3 as she loves piano. I'll be picking up a proper keyboard as well. I live in Australia so will be getting it delivered. I'm just getting some conflicted info and stuff. I thought amazon delivered but is there an 'official' midi keyboard to ps3 converter? I saw some that looked legit but said november 28th... I need it by christmas, but am not sure on Amazon delivery times ![]() Thanks for the help in advance

I had to do the Endless Setlist twice, first was on medium bass with a wired guitar just to get Bladder of Steel, next was with Expert Drums to get platinum status. Surprisingly, the song that gave me the most trouble wasn't Visions, but Peace Sells. Those loving kicks in the outro are killer.

I was really self-conscious about singing and had no real exposure to it (karaoke, shower, in the car to radio, etc.) but I can do expert just about everything except the super hard ones fine, and have since rb1. What I do notice though is that you get 'rusty' if you're not singing all the time. I think for me though is that I get far more feedback from the visual bar/carat cue than I do from actually listening to the song, which means I probably am tone deaf. Singing was the first instrument I could get consistently get gold stars on though so I don't know what the hell.

So after going back and forth between between the mustang and a stratocaster, I have to say the mustang is incredibly uncomfortable to play. The biggest problem with it is strong placement. It's fine when I stand up and play, but when I sit down with it in my lap to go through the trainer stuff, my hand naturally goes to play where the strings have ended. I have to shift my hand down and it really hurts after about ten minutes. I would just stand and practice but I wanna be sedated took about an hour to beat in the trainer and I don't want to stand and do that for that long. I'm gonna look into how hard it will be to move the strings up a tad.

I just got back from a Dresden Dolls show. Holy poo poo, Brian Viglione is an absolutely amazing drummer and I'd pay just about anything to play their songs in Rock Band. I guess the downside would be the whole no guitar/bass thing, but the other three parts would be a hell of a lot of fun.

The DLC from Harmonix for this week looks really damned solid! However, looking at what PS3-owners get from the RBN I can't help but feel a twinge of disappointment that we still haven't recieved this song. Do they decide on the RBN-songs for the PS3/Wii by some kind of "Top sellers" based from the response of Xbox owners? And if so, what are the odds we'll ever get Kiev? I've heard nothing but praise for the song from earlier threads.

Dresden Dolls would be nice but personally I'd rather wait a bit so that they can get their charting for lefty-heavy songs better figured out. After all there's ample opportunity for having some Good Vibrations style crap getting in the way of my fun. I had a really weird star cutoff experience the other day, when I was playing Imagine on pro keys with a bassist. I got awarded personal gold stars with a score that about 10,000 less than my me previous 5 star worthy single player best.
