Oh yeah weird if you start clicking around some stuff is up. I just didn't see a main page update so I figured nothing was up yet.

The blog is hosted at Wordpress instead of locally, and apparently a rogue Wordpress script opened about 500 connections to the main host for images and never closed them. This made GoDaddy very angry, and they've been throttling the hell out of the main host, which means all download links are going at like 10 kb/s. The Wordpress issue is supposedly fixed, but the throttling is still there.

The official release was supposed to be 10 AM EST, but now it's "whenever GoDaddy stops being GoDaddy".

I'm having a weird flicker thing going on when browsing through the songs. Like the song list will flicker back and forth between what's already displayed and the new letter I clicked on back and forth, eventually slowing down and stopping on the new letter. Using Firefox 19.0.2

Yeah, this is known. I am bad at jQuery, apparently, and I'm not sure exactly what causes it, though it doesn't happen in Chrome. I will be doing an overhaul of how the list queries for songs sometime this week which should fix it.

Those are the entire slowdown, yeah.

We've taken the database down until this can be resolved. The official announcement post never went up anyway, so the database links being visible on the blog were just a mistake on my part, basically.

Thanks, I made it all in a matter of days! It'll be improved once I have more time. Might try and fix that Firefox flickering issue today if I can, it kind of breaks the whole thing.

Links going live before they're supposed to...delays with only a vague "we're working on it"...truly we are the successors to weekly Harmonix DLC.
