Binowru posted:Nope, that's where I have them, and they slide anyway. The clamps are total bastards, you have to really put pressure on the middle of them to get them to lock and the instructions totally fail to explain this. As I recall, it's easier to get them to lock if you put the clamp around the drum kit leg, make sure it clicks completely into place and then slide the cymbal pole in from the top. It sure would be nice if they included worthwhile instructions in the package, though.

Eegah posted:Still can't figure this out. Do I need to finish all the other setlists first or something? I've done the first three and the 20-song world tour. You have to unlock the Hall of Fame setlist. If you've ever gone into instrument goals and noticed that there's that one locked goal on the RB3 songs progress, that's it. It says you need more fans to unlock it, but it looks like you actually unlock it by 3 starring all RB3 songs on that instrument. I'm not sure if it actually ever shows up under setlists, but it's in the goals screen for sure.

I wonder what the super-secret reward is for reaching 1 billion fans in RB3. In RB2 it was just a little congratulatory screen

So I got the keyboard stand and it's pretty nice though one of the screws that came with it does not have any threads on it whatsoever. For anyone in the know, which way is the keyboard supposed to face on that? Does it even matter? For the picture on the box, the keyboard is facing towards the support leg, but on the instructions it faces away.

I'm trying to think of ways to increase the rebound on my drums so I don't keep loving my wrists having to do twice the work of a normal drummer because I'm having to keep lifting the sticks as well as hitting. Anyone have any ideas? Perhaps some drums sticks with ultra bouncy tips, like ones that might be designed for electronic drum kits? I'm using the beatles rock band kit if that helps.

If we're doing the Gamertag thing, mine is JTHusky. I've got RB1, RB2 Export in two weeks, RB3, LEGO, AC/DC, Classic, and a decent lot of DLC. I'll play anything.

Binowru posted:So, I got Pro Cymbals to add to my RB2 kit, and I'm having fun with them, but drat if those clamps can't stay put. I find myself having to readjust them in between nearly every song or else they're in danger of falling off. Is there something I'm missing here? This is really annoying. I took a small strip of electrical tape, stretched it a bit so it was thinner, and wrapped it along the black plastic lip that the clamps attach to. The friction is enough to stop it from moving while playing and you can just take the tape off if you don't like it. This is for the RB2 cymbals, but I assume the clamps for the new ones are the same.

So is it sad that I just got a copy of RB2 and moved up from the original? There's been a lot of confusing comments in this thread and it's possible I missed one that makes sense regarding export/import into RB3. My copy of RB2 is used and the code on the back of the manual for 20 free songs was used (

As long as someone didn't scribble down that code prior to RB3, you should be all set for it to still work. I used my 20 free songs code, but then gave that same code to a goon and it worked for them.

Sticks will only help slightly but every rock band drummer should be using a pair of Zildjian Anti-Vibe sticks with nylon tips in either 5A or 7A size. Other then that, you can look into mesh head mods, or a less diy option of looking into the Ion kit which has more rebound then the stock RB kits.

You can throw my name onto the Xbox Goon List: MinisterG24 I only have Silver right now, but I'll compete for the leaderboard positions. I dabble in all the instruments, but they'll probably be a bit scarce because I'm trying to get good at Pro Keyboards right now.

I'm already on the list, but since people are listing what song stuff they've got, it's worth noting I've got RB1, RB2, and LRB all exported, a bunch of DLC(like at least 200 songs probably), and of course Rockband 3 and Beatles Rockband. If I'm online, I'm up for playing. Vocals on Expert almost exclusively, because I'm only decent enough to play on Hard(on easy songs) on Guitar or Drums. And don't have the keyboard yet.
