Same Great Paste posted:How are you guys going for score on HRC? My highs are definitely dependent on doing well during the Casino Frenzy and Break the Bank multiballs. A good run during those can be huge. The key of course is getting there. Helps a lot for me anyway when I'm able to use the cheat thing on poker and or craps. That dealer is a straight machine at poker, and craps seems to be a (ha) crap shoot for me.

Playing the one free table with Pinball Arcade and I finally did it! Got all of the jewels in Tales of Arabian Nights. Oh God unlimited balls until someone wins! The fight is real. I DID IT! The difference between going for the jewels and not going for the jewels.

Had a really irritating glitch on Twilight Zone earlier, and managed to capture it on shadowplay. Firstly the TILT message persisted to the following ball, and wouldn't go away. Secondly the ball passes through the flipper and drains. Here's the video: http://a.pomf.se/bbkiuo.webm

They're terrible game developers and can't seem to ever get their poo poo together enough to do anything other than ask loyal customers to dump loads of cash on very uneven software. Don't get me wrong I've had a ton of fun with TPA on multiple consoles but I have pretty much zero respect for Farsight at this point. They're terrible at customer communication which makes it all that much worse too.

Going to visit a new pinball place today. It has the following tables: AC/DC (Premium/LE) Addams Family, The Black Knight Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy Creature from the Black Lagoon Cyclone Doctor Who Dr. Dude Flying Carpet Freddy: A Nightmare On Elm Street Game Show Grand Prix High Speed Indiana Jones: The Pinball Adventure Johnny Mnemonic Medieval Madness NBA Fastbreak Pinbot Ripley's Believe It or Not! Star Trek Stargate Tales from the Crypt Taxi Terminator 2 The Simpsons Pinball Party Theatre of Magic Twilight Zone X-Men (Pro) I don't think I've ever played a TZ or ACDC in person.

On Attack From Mars, is the score not supposed to show up properly on the display after hitting 100 billion (or whatever this score is)? Like here: Also, I'm really proud of my final score on AFM, I know it's nothing impressive to you guys, but I'm really bad at pinball:

Nice. Score rollovers are awesome. Also, is there a database/spreadsheet with peoples various online pinball usernames listed? I was playing some of Zen's Star Wars Pinball and I noticed none of my friends in Game Center have it. As far as TPA goes, I've got two friends who I've added but they both stopped playing.

That's a drat good AFM score. I assume that's Ruling the Universe 3 or maybe 4 times? On a personal vendetta against the wizard goals note - knocked off the final Haunted House goal, and ended up beating my previous high score by nearly 2 million. Good for 7th overall. As is typically the case - Space Tractor just kills it.

Cabinet update with crap cell phone pics. I'll take some better ones tomorrow. The paint looks so much better in person than in these pics. Got lockdown bar, side rails, glass plastic in last week. Decided to paint today, 2 coats of primter then 2 coats of each black satin for the outside and white satin for the inside and front. Saw another guy do this combo on his cab and it turned out great. Gotta fix the drip on this one. Now it's just a matter of getting all the electronic bits and pieces ordered and in and put together.

What was the issue? Was the feel of it off, or was it a technical thing where it would lose calibration or something?

Bloody Hedgehog posted:What was the issue? Was the feel of it off, or was it a technical thing where it would lose calibration or something? Yes and yes. There was quite a few tables where it wasn't setup to work with that specific table and I just got tired of futzing with virtual pin to make it work. Apparently there is a newer version of it with better calibration and whatnot but I decided to just go with the button route.

How does it work when a game has a skill shot? I'm thinking Twilight Zone for instance. Everything looks great. I'm insanely jealous. I plan on moving out to the suburbs at some point and building one of those is my first project in an actual garage.

It's not just a push button, ball launches type deal. Hold in button, watch plunger come back and then release. I'm gonna take some good pics when I get home, the iphone pics don't really do the paint justice.

There's virtually no ceiling on price as you can just keep adding and adding stuff to a virtuapin.

That being said, the game is pretty shallow. The key to the game is being able to hit 3 consecutive shots when a certain thing is lit. Hitting one ramp, then the other, then the sewer. It's a pretty low scoring table and hitting that combo is worth like 10 million by itself, when otherwise your total score might be 10 million.
