Go to best buy, they should have both nooks and kindles to try.

Me, too. I've been recommending them to anybody who's asked me about cases.

I wish they would just make one without some tacky design on it. Just blank would be great.

How are the e-ink type color displays coming along? Mirasol seems interesting, they're trying to make it fast enough for video. But is this stuff months or years away?

Either email or call to return kindle books. Must be within 7 days from purchase.

I'm posting from my Kindle and I have to say, I am pretty amazed at how useable/readable the forums are when you tilt the screen over and set it to 150%.

I just use http://www.readingthenet.com/

made browsing a LOT easier for me.

While I know their irrelevant not having page numbers might take a bit of getting used to.

Kindle does have real page numbers on their most recent firmware. They should show up unless the publishers were lazy and haven't updated the books themselves.

My mother in law is one of those. Buttons she can learn how to use or she can ignore. Touch screen might as well be written in Greek and raping her cat to death, she has no loving clue what it wants and she is upset and scared of it.

I really don't understand SDHC slots in these things. The books are tiny! A huge, massive, full of color and huge margins pdf is 65MB. Who is going to have 400 of those on their Nook2 and fill it up and need room for 6400 more?

I find that the 3GB storage I have on my kindle isn't really enough. I have plenty of pdfs on there and I've ran out of room for more.

Also some people use audiobooks or read comics which really do need the extra space.

Am I right in assuming none of the lcd ereaders work at all in the sun? I like to read on my boat and beach.

Right, e-ink is best for outdoors. I can't understand the appeal of nook color and other similar products if the person actually intends to read on it.

Does the new nook have physical page turn buttons?

That's a nice screen crack. Amazon is pretty good about these things, they'll usually replace it.

If your mom is doing nothing but reading why not get a e-ink kindle? Its even adequate for text based websites.

If you ever connect to wifi they'll show up.

All the eink readers have the same screen now.

My Kindle 3 finally broke out of warranty. Its $65 to replace, theres no upgrade program. Should I get another keyboard or go for one of the newer models? I'm looking at the Touch and Nook, is that light worth the $40 more?

Ugh. I use audiobooks and text-to-speech on my Kindle all the time. And they just announced that cool new Whispersync for Audible stuff. This just gets worse and worse the more I find out about it.

It also has 2gb less space which is disappointing since I put so many comics on it.

Theres a video floating around on youtube where an e-ink employee mentions smartphones with e-ink displays built into the back of the device. Really interesting, I hope it happens and gets widespread.

Has anyone figured out how to put comics/manga on the Paperwhite? Mangle doesn't work anymore.
