However this is in Canada, I'm not sure if this is the same in the US

Almost every gameplay problem this game has could be solved by doing this: Arcade mode: every track unlocked from the start, every car in the game (all 1,031) available from the start in a big filterable list that's easy to organize and arrange, not the dumb partial list of cars we get now, and you can instantly and freely upgrade everything on any car. After you pick your car and adjust/upgrade it (and favorite it if you like what you've come up with), you can then either run time trials, go online, or freely select and define your computer opponents' vehicles by horsepower, class, year, brand, or any other filterable category if you want to race against the computer. Want a challenge? Race against better cars than the one you just got and upgraded. Want an easier race? Race against weaker cars than yours. GT Life mode: Remove level requirements for buying cars, give lots more money for winning so that you don't spend more than you earn on specialized races. Also, give more XP per race so players don't have to grind. Also, for every race, if you're not in the right kind of car, make it so you can always pull up a readily available list of every car in the game that does fit the requirements for that particular race and allow players to buy cars directly from that list. Adjust AI to always try its hardest to avoid touching the back and/or sides of your car. Also, clean up menu interface so there aren't as many loading screens between races. There, I just saved GT5. You're welcome. GreatGreen fucked around with this message at Dec 1, 2010 around 07:28 |

I'm at level 19 with about 700k and all races gold except the All Stars and Historic cup. It's time for the birthday exploit, isn't it 66 for the oldies? 67? I hear the Toyota 7 is awesome at that but there's a lot of other 1970 cars I could get.

Haven't heard much about the web browser B-Spec racing. Is that feature not live yet? If it is, how the hell do I log in? I could be winning races while watching tv. Do you win cars for B-Spec races?

The Walrus posted:Unless they hire lots more people or outsource I don't think it's happening ever. This, basically. Since the release of GT5:Prologue back in 2007, they have only managed to make roughly 150 premium cars. That's 50 cars per year, which means that unless they start hiring way more staff or outsourcing it would take 16 years to bring all 800 standard cars from GT5 upto premium quality (who was it who said GT6 will release in 2025? You just won the game). When you add new cars into the equation then welp. If GT6 does roll around and still contains standard cars I imagine it would take an absolute beating in reviews, but it's 50/50 as to whether they just decide to just go with a much smaller car count and ditch the standard thing completely, or start hiring/outsourcing so that they can actually keep up with their competitors who all have waaaaaaaaaaaaay more people working on their games than PD does. It will also help if they don't spread what little resources they have out on developing 3 games for 3 different consoles during the development cycle like they did with GT5.

So, I decided to try and be a racing manager. First, I hired a racer with tons of potential by the name of W. Colon. He seemed to be pretty good when he first started out, but it has come to my attention that he may not be what we were looking for. Upon reviewing his resume I have realized one glaring issue with it that I somehow must have overlooked. His favorite movie is Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift. When I left my office and watched him go around the track I thought he was doing pretty well even if he was kinda being unnecessarily flashy. ![]() Click here for the full 1920x1080 image. However, upon looking at the other cars I realized that he was barely beating cars that were a fifth of our car's HP, and honestly he should be drat near lapping them if he was a half decent driver. ![]() Click here for the full 1920x1080 image. The real issue is that he just loves to drift our car in any situation... around corners... ![]() Click here for the full 1920x1080 image. ![]() Click here for the full 1920x1080 image. on straightaways... ![]() Click here for the full 1920x1080 image. and even into walls. ![]() Click here for the full 1747x1080 image. Supercars aside, what is everyones favorite modest racer? I have tons of fun riding the ring with a Lupo cup car. Having a car that you really push to the limit is more fun to me than the 800 HP monster you have to tip toe around the corners.

B-Spec looked grindless until I hit 11. I gotta babysit my driver through Daytona (the circular rank 11 supercar race) when he's in an 1100+ horsepower Veyron or an 865 Murcielago because he's a retard, forget doing other tracks. AI drivers push cars out of the way to pass them but he's a slow "No sir, I insist, after you" monocle-wearing motherfucker who firmly believes that good guys finish last. His name is C.Justice. I think my only real complaint is money comes too slowly. For the first time in a GT game I'm actually deliberating over which car to buy next instead of buying the first shiny thing I come across. 430? 458? ZR1? My other wish is a global TCS setting, so I don't have to turn it off in every car/challenge.

I'm certainly not avoiding the rest. One thing I really like about the used car shop is running into random cars I've never heard of, like this, and driving them around for a while. I just wish there were more different races to run them in. Put a FF, FR, MR, and 4WD challenge in beginner, amateur, advanced, and expert with increasingly difficult competition and there'll at least be one race reasonably appropriate series for every car. The thing that bothers me most about the experience is how out of sync with actual difficulty it is. Silver on IC-10 is worth 300, about the same as blowing away Clubman Cup races in a race car. Gold will net you another 225 on top of that. Gold on the 4 intermediate Nascar challenges can be done in 10 minutes if you've got a light touch and is worth something like 12000.

It is a joy to drive something that handles so well. My favorite car so far has been my fully upgraded '69 Camero. I took it for a spin in multiplayer last night and I was able to keep up with everyone else in their super race cars on the nuremburg. If I had turned the racing line on and I had actually raced on that track before, I probably would have ranked higher than last place, although that really long stretch at the end would have kept me from getting first. The '69 Camero handles really well, although I'm still tweaking it for control issues. Currently have the tow at -.4 on my rear tires, which fixes alot of my fishtailing due to high HP FR.
