 This little plastic book/laptop stand is the most versatile thing I've ever picked up from Ikea. It only cost $3 (its called 'Brada') and has more than paid for itself in reduced strain on my neck and eyes. I'll put a book on it and take notes on my desk without having to do much more than glance to the left. Also, seconding the F-301 pens. They make great portable chillums as well.
