I had 1/2 inch in the nineties and they closed up great. With proper stretching and care they healed right up to regular earring size now. Just a small scar left, no different than when regular earrings come out.

It looked kinda like that, only a picture of a small beetle. It's pretty hard to get the speed of everything down well. I just didn't do it on my loving thigh. The only thing that makes me doubt that is there isn't much irritation/redness, because it was hard to not go too hard or too light at times.
