Yeah I would have never guessed correctly if it wasn't labeled. Is the half glass dome over the actual launch silo?

Sounds like the Suisun Bay Reserve Fleet, which is mostly old merchant ships. According to Wikipedia, the government is in the process of breaking down most of the Suisun ships.

The battleship Iowa is there for now, but it won't be broken down -- they're still working out where it will end up going as a museum ship.

There are a couple of other National Defense Reserve Fleet sites here and there around the U.S. Some of those ships could be used as merchant-marine-type transport in an emergency.
Here's the USS Utah Memorial in Pearl Harbor. You can just see the Utah wreck.

Having been there this past year, yes, the glass portion is looking down into the silo. The actual silo cover you see with the hydraulic pistons is permanently welded half-open, which was part of showing the soviets that it really had been decommissioned and was unusable. Other sites were destroyed with high explosives and left open for spy satellites to view for a time. It's a neat place to visit.

Because its probably just an airbase now and anything secret that did happen there has been moved to other facilities.

Been there actually. It's actually half blocked because of treaty obligations. You can see the rectangles to the left of the half-blocked opening on the tracks? Those are concrete blocks to prevent the lid from opening all the way.

Now you're all in big trouble.
If you type something as generic as "USA" as one of the terms in a Google Maps directions search, does it place the point at a place you have searched for maps before? I guess what I'm asking is, when you put "USA" into your directions search, where did it have as your starting location, as in, where in the U.S. exactly?
