I googled the island for a bit and can only conclude that they were maybe made by the Japanese before the Battle of Attu during WWII. Storage pits, foxholes maybe? The layout and the way they are spaced scream ammo bunkers to me. Bury them, spaced out, to keep one from setting off another in a sympathetic detonation if it goes up in smoke. You see similar layouts on a lot of military bases. Zooming out, I see the airfield, and would like to offer Avgas bunkers as an alternative explanation. Same principle applies.
