"Why I do what exactly? Post? I enjoy this forum and the people who post in it are generally well-informed and there is scope for better political discussion than in other similar online forums, plus I know the characters and personalities involved. My permaban was pretty loving silly and came from an FYAD mod who took over lf and banned me for the lulz so I suppose I’ve never taken it as being legitimate.

As for trolling, it’s not so much trolling as trying to open new or interesting spaces in a discussion, with varying degrees of success, this was much easier in lf where people came up with hilarious political philosophies and worldviews along political faultlines such as islam/feminism or environmentalism/technology. But still, debate in these forums can often become an echo chamber so I enjoy trying to find new angles that expand or diverge a debate into a new context. Sometimes this fails or I’m too lazy and revert to right-wing talking points to get a rise out of people or at least give them a chance to defend liberalism or leftism against the kind of silliness that is thrown at them by the mainstream, uninformed public.

There ain’t too much scope in D&D at the moment for the high-faluting theoretical fuckery of lf, but Australian politics is really intense and fragile at the moment and I mostly like posting here to discuss it with my homies, sometimes playing devils advocate, sometimes not, until little snitches just can’t keep their mouths shut and want to get points by “spotting” me or whatever.

Sure it’s cost a bit of money and I can see why it looks retarded, but how many people of a similar age will spend $500 on 5 video games or a weekend of drug use. These forums have given me a lot of entertainment and insight (vale lf, seriously) so there you go.

Plus I like playing devils advocate, and my ideological journey from a neo-conservative to cynical leftist to muslim genderfuck has made me obsessed with relativism and trying to draw parallels or narratives.

I’m also not as clever as I think I am.

There we go: I expect you to keep your end of the bargain now, whoever changed the title, and if you and the other forum moderators could not ban me unless I actually break some rules that would be appreciated, thanks for the opportunity, shout out to Seams the TV addict, JBP the epilepsy premier and Joni Tones the lawyer who I’m determined to disillusion.

Yeah if you're German I can understand, it's pretty common to take 2 english expressions that mean the same thing and combine them for humor, in this case "It's not rocket science" and "It's not brain surgery"

Same for "Does the Pope poo poo in the woods?" for "Is the Pope Catholic?" and "Does a bear poo poo in the woods?".

But strangely enough, you never hear anyone say:

Which is strange because you'd think there would be enough funny guys who would think of this and say it to be "so ironic" that it would have entered the language and thus be something that people say.
