How the hell do you use the GECK to find a quest ID? I was downloading skins to try and get a character that doesn't look like a retarded potato that was attacked by wasps and I've found one that looks okay, but it gave me a retarded quest I can't get rid of and I'd really like to know where the gently caress they hid the quest ID's to make the cunting thing go away. I've been trying to work it out for about an hour and I'm about ready to stab someone.

Sorry, your save file is corrupted. It's a nice little bug with NV, and the main reason to use more than quicksaves. If you can find a way to fix it, loving aces mate, but the two or three times its happened to me (including during a no mods run) the only solution was to delete my auto and quicksave and rollback to a save where I could fast travel/save without a CTD.

Hey Naky, quick question about the P90. Why exactly did you decide to make it a two hander? it was always my go to gun in Fallout 2 and I remember it being a one hander in that. Sorry if you already explained this and I missed it.

Just got done playing through the second part of Tales from the Burning Sands, and aside from one little speedbump at the end of the second mission I gotta say, the entire thing was amazingly well done. Anyone know of any similar mods? And for no reason what so ever, how difficult would it be to mod sunglasses onto a spore plant?

Is there any way at all to fix fully repaired items refusing to stack and sitting on top of each other instead when you put them in containers? It's bloody annoying, I'll repair a few items to full and store them, come back a few in game days later, repair more and add them to my weapons locker, and the first bunch will be invisible until I take the second lot out! Right now I have about five stacks of fully repaired bear trap fists, a lot of ten, a single one, a pair of them, an upgraded one and another pair and they refuse to just form one big stack of fifteen, it's bloody annoying! All of the items are at 100% repair, I used weapon repair kits on some and used other bear trap fists for the stack of ten if that means anything, and my repair skill has been at 100 long before I began Dead Money.

How easy would it be to add joshua back to angel cave once HH is over? as far as I know, he was the only trader in the DLC, so his vanishing is annoying, especially since he's the only way to obtain the new weapon mods.

For the people talking about that Willow companion mod, avoid any dialogue about flirting while in goodsprings general store, the crimson caravan company or the westside co-op or she may end up skating across the area while naked and dancing at a merchant who she is trying to buy fruit from.

Turns out the 'tasteful fade to black cutscene' only happens after she strips naked and dances at you. I discovered this in the middle of a mission to take her shopping in goodsprings general store where a conversation where she asks for spending money turned into a dramatic declaration of love, and the 'get naked and party' script fired at the same time as the 'go talk to the shopkeeper and buy items' script fired. Chet went into shock and could only loudly announce that Motor Runner was dead over and over.

I've put more than 1 round into someones back from a distance and nothing happened to them aside from them going into the 'under attack!' animations. I think what happens is, you manage to hit whatever weapon they have slung over their shoulder and hanging down their back.

Okay, I give up. I'm trying to use Gopher's WAR Fomod Installer to make the fomodd file so I can use the new animations the armory requires without having to shift stuff around folder by folder and no matter what I do the bloody hateful sodding thing just keeps telling me 'The following sources are missing:' and refuses to accept the two files even exist.


What the hell do I need to do to get this thing to accept the two .rar files are where I am pointing it?


EDIT: and like two minutes after getting frustrated enough to post I realise the .xml file has a poo poo ton of weird underlining instead of spaces in the file names and that's why it wont work.

I was pointing it at .rar files. There were two things, an xml file telling fomm what it needed and a folder with the .rar files. the .rar files were named something like pistols-new animations and rifles-new animations but the .xml was looking for rifles_-_new_animations and pistols_-_new_animations. Bloody annoying.

How easy would it be to get rid of the change to the level limit in the JSawyer mod? I want to go through the game using it, but I also plan to use the Monster Mod and Increased Wasteland Spawns to turn the Mojave into double hell and I want the endgame to be thick with bullet sponges.

The scope on the Colt AR-15 Beowulf is just a silver disc you can't actually see through if you try to aim the gun.


I went through all of the guns I'd collected during a full NCR run plus all four DLC and looked for issues, a few of them had weird magazine placements with the magazines sticking out of the tip of the barrel till you reload. The AMT Automag III, the FN Five-seveN, the Femaru 37, the M3A1 Takao T20 lazer pistol, Tokarev TT 30, Walther P99 and the vz48b were the ones I spotted and the Brugger+ Thomet MP9 has a weirdly placed trigger, it's miles ahead of the characters finger and the foregrip is sorta hovering, it doesn't touch the guns body.

Somewhere along the way my character learned to make lightsabers. Was that the armories doing? and if so, where do you get the crystals for them? I never saw a single one during my first playthrough.

if you've been playing for awhile, then resting for three days usually helps, since it gets rid of the countless mangled corpses dotting the desert. If you've been using energy weapons then I'd suggest tracking down a goo b-gone mod and starting again, because the ash and goo piles never vanish and slowly kill your game.

That and the amount of critters it added was a helluva lot better than the new version, since everything in the new version seems to be X but with a shotgun or variation on the alien from the wild wasteland encounter.

The original momod was awesome but added some really powerful critters and caused a lot of stability problems, especially when ghoul swarms appeared. There is a new version on nexus with a different name since the original fell afoul of nexus moderators deciding it had stolen content and must be purged. The new version just adds a bunch of (in my opinion) really badly modified existing critters that really don't fit the game.

is there any decent armor anywhere? big, heavy, clunky stuff that isn't just a recolor of existing power armor for preference.

The Arancadorra? That hammer is MONSTROUS. When it crits it triggers an explosion. Not a weapon to use alongside the jsawyer mod that increases the effect of explosions, though I did find out there's a perk you obtain when you cripple yourself fifty times.

For the people starting energy weapon runs for the first time you might want to investigate 'goo be gone' over at the nexus. I don't think it was ever fixed but when you turn someone into an ash or goo pile the body will never ever be removed. Goo be gone fixes that by changing the effect so you just get a cool looking glowing red or green corpse that vanishes properly.

The only problem with Niner is that his personal quest is being built in stages and as far as I know it isn't finished finished yet. The bits that are there all work really well though, it just seems like there's going to be a LOT more of them eventually.
