It's funny; it feels that having been on T for a year and a half has killed the feeling that I had to be in a relationship every waking moment. It's drat liberating.
I muse the quoted every now and then, though. "Hmm, ok, I'm a dude with the litt'list dick you ever did see who was born with female organs. Who the gently caress would put up with this?" which drives home further the fact that I don't WANT someone to put up with me. I'm not just content with, but happy with my cat, my computer, my decent salary with accepting co-workers and knowing the world exists for me to gently caress around with however I choose. Goals for 2011: - Get my drat name changed. - Come out to my co-workers. - Go back to the shrink and discuss the possibility that I may have Schizoid Personality Disorder (which I absolutely see as a blessing, it's just the rest of the world that I need to learn to deal with. Is it likely that the suppression of estrogen or whatever may have fostered this, or is it not abnormal? I don't ever get lonely and the section of that article referencing sexuality has fit me like a glove for the entirety of my life.) - Pretend I'm turning 29 again instead of 30.

A community art project. Transsexual and transgendered people tend to get caught up in things they don't like about their body, so I thought I'd encourage us to shift the focus. Submit a picture or statement explaining something you love about your body. It could be something you love that it can do physically, something intrinsic to it or something that you've changed (through hormones or surgery or not). Really anything is fair game if it gives you self-confidence. It can be something small and doesn't have to be rooted in masculinity or femininity.
