I have a Canon Sure Shot WP-1. It's (very) basic, but works well.

I could have totally sworn I posted this a couple hours ago, it's probably in some random thread in another forum somewhere.

Anyways, not my pet, but I liked the lighting effect. This horse is God.

He looks like my dog -- or did, before her hair got sort of long. Apricot poodle? Or some kind of mix?

You never shoot a black cat when they are looking at you, its bad luck!

Where is your 24-70?
The depth of field looks so weird in those photos. Did you use a post technique or did you really nail focus on a 70-200 wide open?

Those are actually from my 600mm f4 (staying true to the OP's request that "I suggest that all photos be taken using at least one ridiculously expensive piece of kit."). :)

That explains why I was interpreting his expression as worry, poor thing was scared you were lining him up in the sights of your bazooka.

When your lens is bigger than your dog, you know something isn't quite right. Maybe you could fit some wheels to the 600mm and then let your dog ride on that? Saves trying to carry the thing.

I was over at my parents house the other night and took a bunch of shots of their boxer, as well as my sister's dog. The boxer may or may not be full retard. The jury is still out.

I'm working on trying to get some action shots, never really do this type of photography, so it's not going as well as I'd like. Doesn't help that I can only get her to do one or two runs before she tires out.

Just got a T2i - this is with my dad's Super-Takumar 50/1.4 manual lens. Little grainy because I wasn't paying attention and had it on auto ISO (3200,) but I love his eyes.
