Apparently I get a $2,500 bonus for passing the CPA exam, so I may be bringing something else along with me this May.

I was going to wait, but since you bumped the thread: May's out for me. Last weekend of the month I'm going on vacation. PS: For those closer to Nashville, the Cheatham County Wildlife Management Area has a range on it. $5 for 2 hours, noon till dusk. Not bad, and while there's generally people there, idiot levels seem pretty low.

I think Micromancer and I agreed to hit up Terry's at about noon tomorrow. Ya know, in case anyone's in the area, bored like us and wants to shoot some stuff.

Walden's is open from 12:30pm to dusk on Sundays. We'll be heading out so we get there around 1pm. Nothing fancy though don't have a whole lot of ammo or cash probably just going to be a .22lr plinking day for me.

So I was supposed to post this a week ago but forgot because like.. Ya know... I'm retarded. If anyone is wanting to shoot the PSL at the next meet, you're more than welcomed to but you'll have to bring ammo of your own becuase I have absolutely zero x54r rounds after Micromancer's and my last range trip(and the one before that and the one before that too where half the can was shot between all of us).

I have about a thousand rounds of the 180ish grain stuff, if that's alright with you. If I make it to the shoot, I'll bring a spam can of it. Consider it a donation to make up for your generosity.

From what I hear, the high grain stuff is bad for PSLs. People say it'll cause everything from damage to the weapon to various types of malfunctions. I would love someone more knowledgeable about it to say I'm a dumbass though so we can use it ![]() For reference, what we've been shooting from it was the 152gr 7N1 "Sniper" ammo. Oh yeah and I got a job today so I can buy ammo now

Sorry ![]() If I can swap it out for some light ball I'll let you know.

This is the one month warning bump - we're still on, weather is looking like it will have a good chance of being pleasant. If you haven't already confirmed you should and if you have don't sweat re-confirming I'll just have to double check the OP for nothing if you do.

I just got my Calico M100P out of layaway so anyone wanting some trigger time on that might want to bring a little .22lr because between it and my Tec-22 I expect to burn off everything I've got pretty quick

PenisMonkey posted:What time are people planning on showing up? For the most part, we try and get there at like 9-10AM which means we start arriving around 11AM and I sometimes get there as early as noon then we plan to shoot until dusk and around 3pm everyones like welp I got stuff to do and Im left there with nothing to do so I head home and miss the people that were even later than that. So get there early or something and I'll probably see you around 11AM theoretically ![]() Last time we did this I started loading the van around 7:30AM and we STILL didn't get there until almost 10. It's a 30 minute drive.

Yeah its fine for a car or truck but I wouldn't bring anything like a motorcycle or a bike. How you'd transport guns and ammo on one of those though, I dunno.

Its gravel/dirt with no real concrete to park on even if it were dry I don't know if I'd trust the parking to be stable for a bike. Totally TWISTED posted:Pretty potholey. I wouldn't ride a motorcycle out there (not that I have ever ridden one but..). As for this date I won't be able to make it I'm beginning to think you are avoiding me. I would never do that! You always show up late! ![]() I will mark that down, I'm just taking a lot of time off around this meet that unfortunately has priority over me getting to shoot. Welp, Micromancer and I went to Terry Walden's today to try some stuff/fixes and have fun. We learned something about the meet but I'm going to let Micromancer post about that. It was hot as hell but we still managed to have a good bit of fun. Also, those attending the meet - make sure you bring some bug spray with DEET in it or something else that will kill/repel ticks. We've gone there twice this month and have seen them both times. Of course it will also help with Mosquitoes. *Edit Oh and we went to the Outpost Armory(twice) thats nearby and it is baller as gently caress. This is the only retail gun shop that I've been in that I would actually buy a gun from instead of ordering one online. Awesome people, great prices and even better staff.

Well, Micromancer is getting slowed down by troubles while working on one of his AR's so I'll just post it like he wants. We drove up and saw a sign that says "Pistol and Rifle Range closed for IDPA match on May 27th and 28th". The person who runs the place wasn't there at the time so Micromancer is calling them tomorrow to see if its ALL of the range or just the private area but its looking like its most likely the whole thing. He's recommending moving the meet to the 29th but nothing is concrete yet.

Last time I was there, I ended up talking to an older man at the reloading counter about 44 magnums for a while. He was a pretty cool guy. Moved here from Montana a few years back. I think we both lamented over the fact that TN doesn't have huge open areas for shooting long distances. It's a great shop, and I'll buy my ammo from them when I'm in town.
