Phenix Rising posted:Also, I love how big Miz and Cena put Ryder over there. Now HHH just looks like an even bigger douche bag. The two guys in the WWE Title match sing his praises, and this old, tanned turd comes in and shoots him down. Miz managed to put over Ryder, be entertaining and subtly put down John Cena all in twenty seconds. He seems to be one of these guys who can put on a really good, sedate interview or crank up the energy level and get a crowd completely riled up.

Since she appears to have settled down now, she'd be an amazing person to bring in, even in a baackstage/training type role. Having Sunny teach the Divas promos would be pretty awesome.

My favourite Owen prank to read about was against... I think it was Gangrel or something. They were in Chicago and Gangrel leaves his watch on top of his bag. Owen takes the watch. Gangrel looks everywhere for it after his match, turns the dressing room, his hotel and rental car, everything upside down trying to find his watch. He eventually gives up. Some time later, possibly after several months, they were in Chicago again. Gangrel goes out to have his match - at which point Owen returns the watch on top of his bag.

Lone Rogue posted:Fun match and proof that Polo > Raven but catch Vince's slip up at the start: Silly slip-up aside, this match is actually pretty solid. There are a lot of little spots in there that you don't see these days, like Jannetty dropping flat so Polo runs into the turnbuckle. That's actually pretty cool. One of my favourite bits of selling was where someone would be working over Jake the Snake's leg, then Irish whip him into the turnbuckle. Except Jake would collapse before hitting the corner, clutching his leg. Even as a kid, I remember getting so worried about that. As an adult, it looks even cooler. I kind of miss guys having their own little spots in the middle of matches. Barrett actually does this with his series of punches and that side kick he does. I hope to see more of that coming back soon.

SamuraiFoochs posted:I honestly think Brock Lesnar had perhaps the greatest, most effective, quick monster heel build in history. Brock had a nice mini feud with the Hardys. A bunch of the matches ended because the Hardys were too beat up to continue and the ref threw out the match. Prior to that, I'd never seen such a thing before and it made Brock seem like a freaking monster. Finishing the match in such a fashion, when used sparingly, is effective as hell.
