Savage was such a wrestler. The mannerisms and the voice. He was perfect.

My favorite part of that shoot was Savage being asked if the skits with the "Nacho Man" offended him and he said not at all - that if he wouldn't have been included in the parody skits he would have called up Vince and asked him why he didn't get made fun of too.

Edit:

Interviewer: What's your relationship with Hulk Hogan?
Savage: No relationship. I like girls - he's got something else on his mind.

Hogan (wearing meat shoes, presumably) buries Randy Savage, then talks about how Randy was nice enough to come to visit him while he was in the hospital.. then buries Randy for coming to see him in the hospital. This happened before he died (in mid 2010) but just goes to show how much of a piece of poo poo Hogan was toward Savage and that they weren't really that friendly before he died like Hogan would claim later as he tries to get on every news show possible speaking on his death.

If WWE did even half of the crazy things they do at house shows on their television shows it wouldn't be nearly as boring or repetitive. The business has already been as exposed as it's going to get - why not have fun with it like in all the really entertaining house show clips?

Oh right - because Vince isn't there.

For those that can't see it - it's basically a mashup of a bunch of the WWF Superstar Ice Cream Bars promos where wrestlers from the 80's and 90's shill for them. Alot of the major stars are absent, oddly enough.

I think it's the always lingering inevitability of them loving all the good things up that they start out strong that makes us block details of angles from our minds before they have the chance to go wrong.

A markish defense mechanism for the small part of us remaining that still wants to believe mainstream wrestling can be good, if you will.

That's an amazing house but that video is in need of some heavy editing, haha. I love the montage of "This is my castle" from like four or five different angles one after another. It's like he wanted to get a bunch of possible angles and just said gently caress it without choosing just one to leave in.

Apparently wrestling PPVs are being listed as TV movie entries by IMDB now. Wrestlers are going to have really long IMDB entry lists.

The best part is Waltman is filming this while a Waltman clone is standing in the background on the other side of the room.
