In no gi you can keep fighting for the underhook and sliding out; in gi when a guy who's stronger than you gets tight grips you're really going to struggle. Also in gi, big strong motherfuckers with ropey technique can just grab handfuls of lapel and attempt to amputate your head if you start getting tricksy. As a weakling, it offends me.
