Question to those saying they want the US to "go after these people": Which people? The ones who committed this act? The people who supported them? Salafists in general? Where are we drawing the line?

In the aftermath of this incident, what we are seeing is actually quite interesting: Libya, a country we intervened in militarily, expressed sorrow for the attack. Their citizens took to the streets with signs saying how sorry they were. Within a couple of days of the attacks taking place, those believed to have been responsible have been found, and their compound surrounded. Arrests have been made. I don't want to get too political about a tragedy, but this seems to be showing that the Obama administration's foreign policy in Libya has been a success. A violent incident in a new country is being dealt with by that country. I'm trying to imagine how a McCain white house would have handled either the Libya situation in general or the aftermath of the bombing, and neither fill me with confidence.
