One thing I've been wondering, are the menu icons supposed to be this faint on a dark background?![]() Running on a SGS2 with stock 2.3.4.

On the topic of the menu, I noticed this morning that if you enter the app from the Bookmarks shortcut, the menu has a "Go to page" button instead of a Private Messages button. If you click over to the forums listing, then back to Bookmarks, the Private Messages button shows up. It confounded me for a good minute this morning when I was trying to get to my Private Messages.

Italics tags don't seem to be working on my rooted stock TF101. Not sure about other tags. Bold Italics Underline edit: neither is Bold. Also, as someone else mentioned, the page doesn't refresh to show my post when I make a post.

I've got Roboto set as my font of choice and italics and bold aren't working either. I recall bold working a couple of releases back but I guess it discretely broke some time recently.

If I use Roboto via default then bold and italics works, if I set it specifically to Roboto and it uses the roboto.ttf that comes with awful it doesn't.

I just noticed if I'm in a forum with bookmarked threads, the star is unreliable. Some are starred, some aren't. Refreshing changes which are starred but I couldn't get all four threads to show stars no matter how many times I refreshed. I like to think that if I can get all four to have stars I'll win something.

I'm having consistent issues on my Nexus 7 with posting replies where the tablet will fail to fetch something, and then it'll show some other message that previously failed to post in the text box that comes up. Then I'll type something, hit post, and it'll have another error. Then I go back to the thread, hit reply, type it again, and it'll work. Usually I'm coming to the thread via my bookmarks.

Is it me or has the battery usage on this app skyrocketed in the last month or two? I used to be able to use it regularly (say 1-2 times an hour to check stuff) throughout the day at work and end my 14ish hour day at about 50% from 100% on an HTC Thunderbolt. Nowadays I'm lucky if I make it to 10 hours at 20% or so before having to hunt down a plug to charge it.

I get to be the rear end in a top hat who tells the devs that the current market version of the app doesn't work well on 4.1.1 on the newly-updated WiFi Xoom. I've cleared everything out, un/reinstalled, the usual stuff, and while I can get into any forum, I can't enter any threads. The click is just unresponsive, as is PTR.

The pull-to-refresh library was broken in JB, so I removed it from the phone layout as a stop-gap measure. Sereri found a fix for it, so it'll start working again for you soon, and we can bring it back for Galaxy Nexus users.

Is there a way to get an older build, like from maybe March 2012? This battery life issue is getting ridiculous. I was writing a lengthy post that took me about 10 minutes to write, and in that time my battery went from 91 to 83 percent while I was watching. This was a solid 6 hours into my workday, and I was using it for other stuff that only burned 9%, so it's unlikely the 5 other things running in the background (thanks, ES task manager!) were the culprit. I'm going to install a battery monitor just to see how ridiculous this new build is. Just writing this message dropped me to 79%. That's worse battery life than when I'm actually making a call.

It's hit or miss whether a tap on the icon or overflow-menu-thingy in the upper-right corner of the screen will register right away. When it doesn't, it sits for a while and eventually triggers, but interestingly I can sometimes force it to trigger more quickly by hitting the "menu" hard-key on my phone (i.e. tap the button, hit the hard key, voila the menu has appeared). Tapping multiple times while the bug is occurring is eventually processed as multiple taps, meaning the drop-down menu will pop open and close, or the "submit this post?" dialog will be spawned multiple times.

Here's a thing that happened to me earlier today (on the I was at breakfast and going to reply to a thread. I couldn't get the little down arrow in the upper right corner to respond to give me the reply option, so I gave up and just quoted a post at the end of the thread (which was actually my own, although I doubt that matters). That took me to the compose window, where I deleted the quoted text and started to type my reply. But a few sentences in, I needed to leave, so I just hit Home and went about my day. About 15 minutes later, I went back into Awful to try to finish my reply. It took me back to the compose screen, but instead of having what I had typed, it was just the original quoted text, and what I typed was gone. I'm not sure if that's normal behavior or not. I think there's a drafts system in place, but is it automatic? Is there a way to get the app to save a draft if you're in the compose screen and the app gets taken out of the foreground?

The only time I've ever tried to use the draft feature it worked exactly that way. I quoted a post, wrote some stuff, left and came back and only the quoted text remained. I never tried to use it again.

I believe you have to hit the post button and 'save draft' for it to work. Leaving otherwise (or even just letting the screen turn off) will lose everything you've typed. (That bug's been mentioned before. Maybe fixing it will provide some auto-saving, though)

I'm going through the whole reply setup again. Merging the reply UI with the slider changed a lot of things and I didn't cover all the bases. Good news for you dirty DPI hackers, I think we fixed the primary bug you've encountered. The font sizes are still off, but you can just set them lower. Also: tablet/phone layout option for those devices that are inbetween (nexus 7, kindle fire on ics, ect).

Is there a way to set the font size in PMs and I'm missing it due to retarded? When I go to respond to a PM, the font is the right size down in the reply window but above it is the entire quoted thread in something like 22 point; looks weird and takes a while to scroll through. I'm on a stock AT&T SGS3.
