I was trying to actually contribute to the project but eclipse refuses to compile the source. Might gently caress with it more tonight and mess with some graphics.

If you need help compiling feel free to hit me up on Gtalk, Heathen79.

Likely you need to open the libs folder within Eclipse and add those items to the build path?

I did, but for some reason Eclipse won't see any of the @drawable/ resources. They're all there in the res/drawable folders but it just won't see them, so the XML files all throw errors. Not a big fan of Eclipse so far I really just wanted to mess around with some graphics and stuff.

It only needs one guy making it, but there's still poo poo-tons of coding to do before it's really feature-complete for a release. If you want to contribute code, I have no doubt that Ferg would be happy to give you a job if you pestered him on gtalk.

Have you actually set up Eclipse with the android plugins? What actually happens with those isn't that the Java files in the src folder can "see" those XML files directly - the build system (in eclipse, the ADT plugin) just generates Java files (in the gen directory) based on the XML files, which is what the code actually "sees". If you're using Eclipse with the ADT plugin, it basically regenerates these Java files whenever you change the XML backing them.

TLDR: Go read Google's installation guide if you want to set up eclipse to work with android stuff.

It is much better to bicker and insult each other until the project dies than to look for something that works for the majority of people.

Edit: I honestly wish I understood JAVA. I am stuck in a world of .Net. Everything Ferg has done makes perfect sense to me, and I really enjoy his screenshots.

This at least has the right color scheme and the website name. I don't know if the grenade can be used (it's an SA app, at some point some copyrighted material has to be used), and the user/pass and login button are obviously too desktop, but it's a step in the right direction.

Proper "jump to last post" support, which I may get to tonight (probably tomorrow). Need to hookup a lot of callbacks on the actionbar buttons, as well as the menu. Just been lazy on doing that. Once that's all done it'll be a day or two of me using the app and just feeling it out to find any other loose ends.

I'll regret saying this, but expect to see a public APK sometime early. Source is always available if you can't wait that long.
