I don't actually have a problem with the Angels at all, and they have a lot of players that I like a lot (Callaspo, Weaver, Morales, Kendrick, Wells, Haren). Plus I figure if everyone hates them they must be doing something right.

Per inning stats like K/9 very very technically and slightly benefit pitchers who are wild or also give up a lot of hits, because they have more PA against and therefore more opportunity to strike people out.

I overheard some guy talking about catcher ERA earlier and trying to act like it's a thing. I know that it's a pretty silly stat, but I also realized I don't know how exactly I'd convince someone under the circumstances that it was stupid for any reasons other than 1. a catcher can call a whole game, but he's not actually making the pitches and shouldn't be given credit 2. catchers with low ERAs probably also have the fortune of catching pitchers who have low ERAs that they would've had regardless of who was behind the plate What other reasons would allow me to be all
