As mentioned, the stadium is terrible, and there wouldn't be enough support, either privately or publicly for a new one. The other problem is Montreal fans are very fickle; they like winning teams, and they like local players, and a new Montreal team wouldn't have either. Is there a sports city without "fickle fans"? Cause I see this said about every city.
