I recommend everyone cop the Mad Decent Gucci remixes. "Excuse Me" (Diplo Remix) is the hardest track I have heard in years.

I've been listening to that cd since it dropped on and off, and think it's great. Can anyone recommend anything similar?

Skipped this initially because the horrible cover made me think it was a fan tribute tape. After listening it's crack, this track in particular reminds me of the old days.

Not sure if you guys heard, but the University of Houston Libraries acquired DJ Screw's record collection along with a bunch of other things belonging to him or directly relating to the movement. For the fans of DJ Screw this could be a pretty incredible find, as they're planning an exhibit and conference on DJ Screw and the rise of Houston Hip-Hop for March 2012. I'm pretty excited about this, but I can imagine that almost everyone in the audience for the conference or visiting the exhibit would be pretty gone on that oil.

Two things:

1) I kind of got douche chills from that post. Why throw your partner under the bus like that? He is the reason you are still around. Guru never did this poo poo to Premo...wait...gently caress...

2) We couldn't get one song in without some strange homophobia? I live in West Hollywood how am I supposed to listen to this in my car with the windows down? I cant. Therefor it probably wont get listened to much, if at all.

Yeah I really dont think it was his intention to talk poo poo about someone who is probably a close personal friend but something about it was off-putting. I also keyed in on the whole waiting for Stoupe to be Stoupe. Thats completely...stoops (I just c'mon son'ed myself for that but I have no regrets). The dude is a goddamn genius with a crafted and unique sound that you can here evolve album after album on not only JMT's poo poo but other artist as well...which reminds me I need to blow the dust off of Rip The Jacker.

But yeah I have the same opinion as WHOLE DIK AND NUTS when it comes to Jus. I will dumb right the gently caress out if Retaliation pops up on random, and with JUS cause too (still, no regrets).

Hey guys are we having a Jedi Mind Trick conversation on the internet where we arent making fun of Jedi Mind Trick fans for possibly fitting into some made up stereotype?

Have you heard the new tracks Jus has been featured on? "Chainsaw Surgery" with some wack rear end guy and "Wolves" with Poetic Death. A pretty cool video I think, and I actually like Poetic Death, his album that this song is on is pretty dope, has a song with Planet Asia as well. Though I've given up on a new Jus solo, there is some cool guy on Youtube making his own new Jus album http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtQu...feature=related

edit: I don't really know any JMT fans in real life so I can't comment on whatever lane people try to put them in

A Jedi Mind Tricks album without Stoupe? the only thing worthwhile about JMT since the beginning was his production. It's good to see him move on though, all of his best work is without the terrible rappers of the whole AOTP clan.

One of the reasons that UGK 2007 turned out so well is that after he got out of prison Pimp C finally went ahead and finished a lot of song concepts he'd been working on for years.

It's because Billy Woods is a great rapper with a unique flow and lyrics that are a lot better than most of the other dudes out right now, it's just very different and I guess I can understand why a lot of people wouldn't be into it.
