That is unfortunate. I'll check them out though, thanks.

I mostly meant the production. Message and mentality is kind of a second thought for me though I do find I enjoy the "backpacker" stuff more than others, but I think that is more just the production and overall sound to me.

I might suggest checking out Zion I if you dig the production. Amp Live and Sabzi go about beats in a similar way.

I saw him last year with KRIT and he was good, but that was before Radioactive came out and every live thing I've seen of him since on TV and such seems like it'd be going to a early 2000's Kid Rock show. I think it'd depend on how much new stuff he played and how you feel about Radioactive.

I can't speak about his new poo poo, but I saw Yelawolf last SXSW. He DESTROYED IT. I'm talking packed out the whole upstairs of a club with nothing but white kids who were stomping up and down causing the whole building to shake while Yelawolf killed a whole solo set. However, obviously this was a special occasion and not at all representive of his normal shows.

I saw Yelawolf prior to Radioactive at a small club with a 450 capacity and it was sold out. The show was amazing. I'm not sure if the experience would transfer over to a larger venue like he plays now though.

I don't think he's really thought through that whole Nazi thing. I believe that the shtick is that the rap game these days is kinda like Nazi Germany, with everyone hopping on bandwagons so that they can eat. "Valkyrie" was gonna be the tape that would explain the concept: that he's gonna infiltrate mainstream rap and "blow it up from the inside."

Luckily the boss made him quit that poo poo and just stick to coke rap like the rest of MMG.

If tickets aren't expensive I would go. I saw him live for free a year ago right before he got famous and he wrecked that poo poo and made fans out of everyone (not many people knew him, he opened for Ludacris or someone I forget).
The second half of Radioactive though is stupid lovely white R&B and idk if that's what his recent shows are all about. If I had to guess I would bet he opens the show with Radioactive or Hard White, does the song with Kid Rock in it and maybe Animal and some others from the album, and closes with mixtape stuff, probably encores Daddy's Lambo. idk Yelawolf is cool, I blame the label for Radioactive but I still like about half of it.

also worth noting that Yela is one of only a handful of rappers to pull a good guest verse out of Bun B over the last few years

Shiiit, it's $50 here (Australia) just to see Yelawolf. I'll probably end up going, we don't get too many good rap gigs around here.

Tempted to see Ice Cube, Naughty By Nature, Rick Ross, Missy Elliot and Lupe Fiasco at Supafest but it's something like $120-150 a ticket.

Is it just me or is Cage back to his old topics but without his old dexterous flow? Maybe I'm just remembering his previous albums wrong, but he never seemed so...slow and simplistic, rhyme-wise? That was one of the sad things about his crappy Depart From Me album, more so than just the topics and beats. I was kinda hoping he was able to return to his old style.

At least Nas seems to be doing pretty awesome.
