This old NOE track (Byrd Gang affiliate) got me thinking, did Cam invent finishing your bars with the sample in the beat? Starting with Oh Boy, all the examples that spring to my mind are dipset related but I might just have some selection bias going on.

Jeezy dropped his new mixtape The Real is Back with DJ Drama today, haven't listened yet but I think I'm one of the few people who still thinks he can make TM103 another classic if he links up with the right producers again. And somewhat related, the new Lloyd ft Trey Songz and Jeezy is some generic radio poo poo but Polow knocked it out the park on production (where's he been lately?). The beat change on Jeezy's verse is fuckin sweet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMZVt-anmho&t=170s

I listened to it, now it's in the trash can [/Jeezy] No Ceilings was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better from beat selection to lyrics. I think he's having the same problem as Gucci in that the combo of going to prison and not being able to do smoke weed/other drugs seems to really impact a rapper's creative output. The third dude who spits on Inkredible (Remix) is great though, "come to see me I drop ya like an otterbox" and "they sleepin on me like i'm rappin with a blankie/kill a nigga have em thinkin that he plankin". K-Flow posted:edit: could someone reccomend me some essential dipset poo poo? i love heatmakerz beats and have listened to some camron before but thats it. Check out Diplomatic Immunity 1 obviously, plus their official mixtape series with Kay Slay..I liked volumes 2 and 5 the best. DI2 has some ok tracks including one of my fav Cam/Juelz songs of all time in Bigger Picture, but the expansion of the group + different beats kinda hosed up the vibes. Juelz Santana - From Me to U and Jim Jones - On My Way To Church have more of that classic sound. J.R. Writer was that dude for a while from 2004-2005 especially after he went in on that 6 min Hot 97 freestyle, Writer's Block Vol 1 had some greatness. Cam'ron's Come Home With Me is a dope album, and his last lyrical piece before switching up to the lolflow on Purple Haze. ~~DiPsEt FoReVeR~~ And even though the movement has somewhat moved on, check out the new poo poo Cam and Vado are putting out (Gangsta Grillz w/ DJ Drama and Boss Of All Bosses series) because they're channelling some of that vintage ]Heatmakerz and Diplomats feel. New Boss Of All Bosses is coming pretty soon too apparently (which in Cam years can mean Dipcember 9th or Neveruary) PS here is the best dipset freestyle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GaA9a0_v0Q

She's getting hype because she is a White Female Gangster Rapper and that's enough of a gimmick to get on these days. Her flow's alright and the voice is annoying, but so is Nicki Minaj sometimes and look where that got her. Having said that, the beat rules and I would love to hear a Brick Squad remix.
