Memphis has been brought up a few times but I didn't see Evil Pimp mentioned. He's a straight throwback to the grainy devil poo poo:

Here he is a few years ago speaking about a possible collab with Three 6 (never happened) and how he's not going to get ripped off like all the other Prophet/HCP artists:

I don't understand, are you trying to disprove me or agreeing with me? That's a great example of ridiculous Lex Luger beats being wasted on some clown. Seriously the song's better with the track and the drops, perfect example of what I was talking about. It's rare when someone's so bad at something (in this case, rap) that you can honestly say they'd be doing less harm to society going back to selling on corners (if he was actually doing that).

Although I shouldn't hate too much, I'm sure these are the exact types of fools Gibbs was thinking he was better than that caused him to start rapping so that's cool.

They touched a lot of styles over the years. I'd say the very best of their work is from mystic stylez to choices 1 but most known unknowns is bumpin too. If you like the raw underground poo poo my personal favorites are underground vol. 1 and 2 witch are collections of underground hits. When you go older than that it just sounds too underground/low quality for me but there are exceptions. One thing is for sure paul and juice are the masters of sampling. They not only have mastered the art of sampling music of all kinds but also the art of sampling themselves! thats something!

As for rappers similar to project pat, poo poo..... maybe Chrome? Talking of chrome, what the gently caress happened to him?

Chrome is just another one in the long line of former Prophet/HCP members that have been cast aside/quit over money.

I think if anyone sounds like Pat, it's Frayser Boy. Much like Chrome though he is no longer affiliated with the Hypnotize Camp.

I'd rather see him with his own production but anything to get him away from DJ Paul. Juice and Pat need to hook up and leave Paul in a field where eventually a nice record label will find him and take care of him as their own.

I should clarify that when I say "His" I mean him and Paul's usual production. I'm a huge fan of their production but on the mic I just can't stand Paul. I really started disliking him on When the Smoke Clears and have continued to with everything else after that. Something about his voice, delivery, and attitude just throws me off. If Paul can't be abandoned in a field then he should somehow be chained up inside the studio without access to the recording booth.

As far as them inhaling dollars and selling out, they officially lost me at track 16 on Last 2 Walk.
