I think you hit the nail on the head, except the fan edit will only be about 20 minutes long. Honestly this movie is a fun watch because it's eye candy but I was literally falling asleep during the non-action sequences and I never fall asleep during movies. You couldn't write a less interesting story if you tried, and because the action is multiple fantasy layers deep there is no suspense at all. At all. This is a very, very bad movie.
