ehonna_disco posted:FYI: Those of you who pre-ordered an Evo LTE might be getting a free case in the mail. I just got a nice blue silicon case that fits snug and is definitely a lot better than the flimsy and super-loose-fitting silicon sleeve that I bought for my 4G Evo 2 years ago. I got one in but it's a hard plastic grey case. Cool of them to send that, I'll use it until I decide between an otterbox or a diztronic.

I have the EVO 4G LTE and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised with the thing, especially the battery. The multitasking issue has not been that big of a deal, although it definitely is present. As for the battery, here is an example. Super heavy use will drain the battery in a day, but it will last the whole day. The standby has been great. This is with some phone calls, lots of texting, and some marginal internet usage on a good signal. Wifi and data are both turned off when I'm not using it.

traslin posted:So my main concern with the whole multitasking issues is that I won't be able to do simple things like listen to podcasts while I am surfing the net on my phone. I'm assuming HTC is smart enough to not kill the Music app when it is running in the background, but has anyone noticed any issues with other media apps? I don't often use the music app, but I can try to test it out later. That said, I have had no issues with Pandora running in the background while on the Awful app or Chrome, or with just Pandora running in the background in my pocket. The awful app will reload the page if I do something else for a few minutes, same with Chrome. Honestly the Google Play store is one of the worst offenders, if I leave it for just a few minutes it's all the way back to the front page.

![]() I have sipped from the cup of 4g LTE and I wish I could have it all the time. I live in the north side of Chicago and went up to Morton Grove for some business this weekend. Perfectly solid connection even while driving around. Top three are the 4g on my EVO 4g lte. I hope the speeds stay that high when it hits the city. Not sure if anyone else has experience with this, but I thought I'd ask here. My wife and I got HTC EVO 4G LTE units last year on Sprint and all of a sudden are both are now giving us issues. 1 - My phone - Can connect to Wifi, and 3g, but I get no data on 4g LTE. Could this just be a system issue in Chicago? 2 - Wife's Phone - Her phone will randomly go to the Recent Apps multitasking page. Worst is when this happens when she is using google navigator and it drops out of the program. Any help/thoughts?

So my HTC EVO 4G LTE died. I turned it off for really no good reason (I thought it might be a decent idea since I haven't in essentially six months), and now it won't power back on or give a charge light when plugged in. My bigger concern is for some pictures I just recently took and haven't the chance to backup yet - is there any chance to save these? They're not on the external SD card, so that's out. Also, what are my options going to a Spring Repair Store? Will they be able to do anything or just offer me a refurbished phone? I don't have TEP so I'm not expecting anything for free.
