I'll keep an eye on Wal-Mart's pricing on the Evo 3D. They had a better price on the Optimus S, and I may be looking at a second line.

Wouldn't Gmail calling work for this as well? Or do they filter billing by geolocating the IP?

It sounds like you have a rogue process gone wild and eating all your CPU and battery. You need to track it down and/or do a hard reset to see if that makes the problem go away. If that doesn't fix it, then yeah, look into a warranty replacement.

I'd assume it's that, figure I'll do a hard reset tonight. The OEM battery got to the point where it maybe got 45 minutes charge after about 6 months of owning the phone, a couple months later the Seidio replacement is dying quickly too.

Because the Evo 3D is an awesome phone and Sense 3 is really good? Plus the Evo 3D is completely unlockable.

The Photon is faster, has better reception, more on-board storage, and has a camera for the same price. Plus, with Google owning Motorola it'd be hard to ignore the likely better support over time.

I see no point in unlocking a CDMA/4G phone at this point, given that ROM support for 4G weaves in and out of workability all the time.

The 1GHZ Tegra 2 in the Photon is undisputably a more powerful processor/GPU combo than the 1.2GHZ Snapdragon and Adreno 220 in the Evo 3D. Although that's more an indictment of the Snapdragon than anything, because the Adreno is the better GPU by far.

Huge thread on the subject, lots of issues.

I hard reset the phone while on my landline talking to them, 2.3.3 remains on the phone regardless. I have to take it into the store to have them hard reset it and try not to charge me because I don't have TEP.

Three hard resets of frustration later, and the autocomplete finally works. The keyboard is still hilariously tiny, and none of the updated/bundled apps they mention in the changelong are present.

This is Samsung level bad.

I wonder what they can even do to help me at this point.
