In the last goonmail thread I sent a letter to literally every single person who posted and it got really, really expensive, but it was a lot of fun. There's people I first wrote to back in July 2010 who I still exchange letters with! Unfortunately, my current economic situation is such that I cannot do that this go-round. However, I can promise that anyone who writes me a letter - domestic and international - will get letters and stuff back from me for however long you feel like writing. Trust me, I'm good for it. Sent out replymail yesterday. I think I'm up-to-date but if you sent me something and haven't gotten a reply by Tuesday let me know, my mail rack turned into a bit of a mess and it may have been stuck in the shuffle.  Still writing and sending stuff to everyone who writes to me!

To fulfill photo requests and to encourage people who may be avoiding posting their address/joining the goonmail fun. I apologize for the crappy iPhone pictures: This is the mail I've gotten in the last two weeks. Markers, stickers, puzzles, art, bracelets, and a bunch more stuff is inside those envelopes ('cause goons are awesome):  This is all the goonmail I've gotten from last thread and this one. It's about three layers deep:  From this pile I've gotten dozens of photos and original artwork, candy/food, recipes, international awesomeness, a lifetime supply of stickers, and internet friendship (Unexpected Road and thepitgoddess have been my penpals for over a year!). In the old thread I wrote to every person who posted (and would if I could afford it in this one) and I always always reply. I've probably sent out 500 letters and gotten/gotten back at least 300. I've never gotten anything disgusting, obscene, or threatening (of course now that I've said that I will). Nobody's ever shown up at my house. I've never opened a letter and regretted posing my address. Give it a shot if you're holding back. It's awesome, goons are awesome.

 Mega urgent request I need to acquire a Specific Japanese candy (that might not even exist anymore) as quickly as possible. I'm looking for Meiji cotton candy that turns into gum. Any/all flavors. I can pay you or do an American goodie exchange, whatever works out. I, too, have sucked royally at acknowledging all the awesome goonentines I've gotten. Suzie McAwesome, Niemat, Lamb (with knit goodies!), Team Lunch, Mr. and Mrs. Genesplicer, Locutus of Bald, and Pillory Soft (I love the little handmade Amish valentine!) all sent me fabulous cards with goodies from around the US. From goons abroad Dangereuse and Count Drunkula I also received an envelope of goodies and from America's hat I got THE loving GREATEST VENTURETINE EVER from Cuntvalet.

I also got festively adorable Easter greetings from Lamb. I sent out a few letters a bit over a week ago and it seems that none of them have shown up yet. I'm worried about the ones going to Canada because the woman at the post office was a total bitch; I told her a letter to Finland didn't need a customs form because it was literally just a long, multi-page letter (which I've sent before) and when I asked her about the ones to Canada that had more than letters enclosed she got all, "well you tell me, I just work here," and as much as I tried to explain I wasn't trying to tell her what to do and I legitimately didn't know if the Canada ones needed customs she refused to do anything but roll her eyes at me and say "whatever you think."
