Animal Realism was one of the best Morrowind mods because wildlife was no longer suicidal. No more swatting every rat you see!

Meanwhile in Fallout New Vegas (by all accounts an otherwise much better game) I still have to let Boone or The Kings murder junkies with switchblades and rags because they thought it was a great idea to charge two guys in NCR 1st Recon Berets and Power Armor wielding Anti Material Rifles.

For the record, the dwarves in Morrowind (and Elder Scrolls in general) aren't really dwarves, they're just elves that liked mechanical crap and were called dwarves by the Giants and Imperials.

This is a completely necessary post to make.

But anyway, it's good to see you guys back in action, I was starting to miss this awful game.

I never did like the Elder Scroll's hard-on for elves. Dunmer, Bosmer, Altmer, three bloody kinds of elves. Easy way out of being creative with races, I'd like to have seen quadrupedal arthropods with hexagonal mouths and three eyes that could shoot acid, but noooooooo.

Their racial slur could have been roaches

Morrowind is quite non-standard though. And the dwarves are "Dwemer" and there IS still one of them, so 4 kinds of elves, plus orcs.

Order of the Stick, Unsounded, Dresdan Codak, Oglaf, Dr. McNinja, Perry Bible Fellowship, Darths and Droids, Gastrophobia, and Girl Genius are all good webcomics.

For actually thread relevant material: surely one of you got a hold of TW2 Tower Defense over the holiday Steam Sale?

I just want to say that this LP did get me to actually buy this game on Gog (for the grand price of 5 bucks on sale), and it's so much stupid fun. It's amazing how many mechanics in this broken piece of Polish crap really make me think, "wow, REAL games should have that."

Hell, I rented Two Worlds 2 for my PS3 and fiddled with it for awhile, and that IS a real game... with the same Grom sounds.

To be fair, there's not much plot advancing left to do (as of previous videos, I've not watched this one yet).

By the way Paper Lion, do you know what the level 15 Necromancy Spells are? Because I've got max Necromancy in my game (mostly for lack of much else to spend points on) but the best I've found are Ghoul and Dead Hands.

Ghost happen at night. Ghosts are also immune to physical damage but they have far less HP than their living counterparts so magic or, more practically, gem-stacked weapons rips them apart. They just show up in areas where you've killed enemies, since things don't actually respawn in this game it's a way to still have something to keep the player on their toes in areas they've cleared out.

edit: I didn't personally use Alchemy at all since I didn't understand the system and knew that it had been nerfed anyway. I basically just went with pumping Strength for use with my current strongest weapon+whichever type of element it had, and occasionally some Wisdom for extra Dead Hands+Poison Cloud. But then again I went to every notable location and killed tons of poo poo so for LP purposes alchemy would probably be better.

I didn't play much of Two Worlds 2 during my brief rental of it, but I can confirm at least that the opening makes no sense given how this game ends, Twoworldsman's voice isn't nearly as fantastic, and the groms make literally the same sounds.

The tomb hbomb went in to find that locked gate is actually an exit, the entrance is a cave not too far off that works its way towards the relic.

That must be an alternate way, because I just went in through the front door when I did it.

Well, lets be fair. We saw what happens when somebody tries to break the game, and we ended up with a very riveting low level dragon fight.

I used Paper Lion's SWEET PROTIPS from that video when I played through the game, and it turns out they actually work when you do them from the start instead of putting points into random things and then trying to fight a dragon with the resulting crippled lunatic.

Also as he mentioned there's guys in the game you can pay to let you respec your character so theoretically they could go to one of the early cities right now, pay one of those guys, and create an all strength and magic monstrosity even as far as they are.

I watched both commentaries all the way through.
