To clarify, your first aid was successful (for the most part) and you're no longer slowed. Sorry that wasn't clear. You can edit your turn in if you wanna do something.

Also, is the Alpha slowed UEoNT or save ends?

Just gonna mention that you've got another turn Iblis, the initiatives fell into two lumps so you got a sort of a bonus turn when you acted first.

Iblis

Iblis turns his attention toward the two smaller, more visible beasts. He thought he might improve the chances of his less visually astute companions. The sands where the two creatures stand whirl like a dust devil, and they find themselves displaced into the torchlight.

The tiefling then turns his attention toward the slaves clambering up the ladder. Perhaps a little motivation and discipline was in order.

Putting on his best theatrics, Iblis radiates a large burst of psionic and arcane energy. His horns are uncovered and the fire in his eyes is burning bright. He is the perfect picture of stern, controlled rage. "Get up there and be quick about it! Quit getting in each others way! If I am late to my audience with your master you will discover that there are much more terrible things than being eaten alive by wasteland beasts!"

Mindhunter vs Quinn Will: 1d20+12 20 4d4 9
Mindhunter 2 vs Thetrin Will: 1d20+10 12

There's a strange thickness to the air for the briefest of moments, and suddenly the beast is upon you. Pik-ik-cha doesn't so much as flinch as the massive dagorran comes rushing forward with one massive claw reaching out to brush aside your front lines. He takes the hit well, rolling with the blow, but still looks shaken. Quinn manages to get his sword up in time to block the sweeping attack, but one of the smaller dagorran turns it's hungry gaze in Quinn's direction and he shudders for a moment. His blade shakes in his hand as it moves slowly to hover behind the distracted thri-kreen.

Total Damage:
Quinn is hunted, he takes 4 psychic damage and makes an MBA vs Pik
Pik-ik-cha takes 14 physical damage

Mindhunt: The Dagorran locks consciousness with the nearest foe. It knows where the target is at all times and has +2 to hit. Some of it's attacks have bonuses when used on it's prey (similar to a warlock's curse or a hunter's quarry)

Pik-ik-cha
Pik gives an angry buzz of pain as the dagorran opens up several bloody gashes in his armored hide. The buzz turns into one of exasperation as Quinn takes a swing at him.

"Quinn-man! Kill dagorran! Not Pik-ik-cha! Here, Pik show!" The mantid unleashes a flurry of kicks and punches against the alpha and even lands a few strikes on the hunter behind it. It's an impressive display of acrobatics and martial arts, but does little real damage to the beasts' tough hides.

Some of the weapons you planned to trade are still laying out around E10. The thin cloth they're wrapped in should be enough to catch some of the wooden weapons alight, but that would be an expensive fire. You and your allies have things like cloth and rope you could burn, but they would only last for a round or two (which is probably all you need) Sirne could radiate light for you, but her protective aura would fall.

Two arrows fly from his bow, striking one after the other into the eye of the Dagorran. Vojzek arrives almost as quickly, slamming blade first into the creature's side.

Pik stares at the mindhunter through the light of the torch. Pik hates the stupid thing. He was having a very pleasant meal, making new friends, and just. Wanted. It. To. Die. He wants it to die so hard in fact that reality itself starts to warp around the beast. He apparently doesn't want it hard enough though, as the creature is unharmed. Thetrin looses a bit of his concentration when Iblis knocks him on the jaw. He looks toward the psion with a raised eyebrow. No words, a raised eyebrow communicates everything he wanted to say.

When he looks back, the beast has vanished. Though the cloying earth surrounding the creature's legs was comforting. It wasn't going anywhere, so Thetrin decides to focus on one of the other creatures.

Iblis

Iblis returns the elf's raised eyebrow with a look of his own and a shrug. The last of the slaves were clambering up the ladder, the largest of the beasts was currently subdued (although its little disappearing act was getting quite bothersome), and nobody had been seriously hurt yet. So far the battle was going in their favor, and the tiefling could almost taste the blood.

The smaller creature was looking at him with a strange glint in its eye. Iblis disapproved of this, and decided that the beast should join its pack leader in the trap he had set.

ROBBLE ROBBLE ROBBLE!

Vojzek

Curse these beasts! If they will not retreat, then they will die. Vojzek will not allow these slaves to come to further harm.

Moving in for another strike, Vojzek's sword catches the beast's hide but fails to cut through its thick armor. But if he can keep it occupied, it can harm no one else. That--for now--is enough.

Move to E8.

Quinn's sword is readied in time to stop the beast from tearing him in two, but the enormous impact of that charging monstrosity sends the swordmage flying backwards through the air. A moment before striking the side of the carriage he vanishes. With it's jaws closing around Sirne the beast suddenly does the same. Reappearing next to one of the smaller creatures to savage it with a lunging bite.
Quinn appears moments later in a cloud of dust and sand, flung forcefully to the ground as it would seem his teleportation has no effect on momentum.

The mindhunter lets out a savage mental shriek as the alpha's teeth sink into it's hide. The world goes fuzzy and swirls before your eyes as it's cry echoes in the halls of your mind. Fighting through the mindhunter's onslaught Iblis loses concentration for a moment and his staff sweeps out to strike Thetrin on the shin.

As the dwarves help the last of the slaves into the carriage, Daruk turns to shout.
"We're clear, you boys falling in? Or we doing this the hard way?"

The riders ran past the caravan, through the basin and up over the ridge on the opposite side. They're still out there somewhere, probably joining up the other rallying troops.

Total Damage:
Quinn takes 18 damage. He's flung 5 squares and falls prone
Pik-ik-cha takes 14 psychic damage and has a -2 to hit UEoNT
Iblis takes 12 psychic damage, has a -2 to hit UEoNT and hits Thetrin for 1 damage
Thetrin takes 9 psychic damage and 1 physical damage, he has a -2 to hit UEoNT

If you're confused about what happened, the Alpha tried to cleave Sirne and Vojzek, triggering both Quinn's reactions. Teleporting the alpha to mindhunter two, and then teleporting in after him to try an MBA (which failed)
The mindhunters have a reaction (burst 4) when bloodied.

Pik-ik-cha
The thri-kreen flings himself into motion, tendons stretch, chitin strains, and lifeblood leaks as Pik-ik-cha hurls himself to the defense of his clutch brother. "QUINN-MAN!", he bellows as his feet churn the sand in sickening slow motion. Pik closes the gap, but his progress seems painfully slow to his accelerated consciousness. His words dissolve into a buzz of anger and hatred as the mantid closes to melee range with the beasts that had tried so well to kill the thri-kreen's most beloved clutch brother. There was no finesse or artistry to Pik's attacks, only fists and talons ready to wreak bloody vengeance upon those who would do ill to his clutch.

Quinn

Lying on the ground, you hear the faint sounds of a snake seem to vibrate against the steel of Quinn's blade.

As Quinn stands up he brings his blade whipping under the Alpha's torso, severing a tendon on the beast's leg, if only momentarily halting its movement. Not content to let it end there, Quinn, following Thetrin's direction, take a quick number of steps backwards and turns the Hunter's trap back on itself, ensnaring it with his own magic.

Welp, time to go for broke!

Are you guys getting bored with the fight or something? You can retreat to the wagons anytime you want. I hadn't intended for you to kill these things, it was more of a 'survive for X rounds' kind of thing. you guys did an excellent job locking the alpha down though, and it looks like you could probably kill them if you wanted to eliminate the threat (and get the bonus XP)

I've been waiting for my turn to come back up in initiative. For about a week now. The fight's been plenty interesting, mostly cause it's obvious we're overmatched here and kobayashi maru scenarios are the most fun to roleplay

ROBBLE ROBBLE ROBBLE!

For some reason I am not getting reliable new post notifications on this thread. I only just now saw all these new posts. God damnit. I'll get a post up soon.

Vojzek

While Vojzek has been fending off one of the lesser beasts, the alpha has ramped up its attacks on his allies enough that the dray can no longer stay out of the fight. Leaving the mindhunter, he dashes around behind the alpha and attacks from its blind side. But as he quickly discovers, this psychic monstrosity HAS no "blind side!"
