I'm going to be so pissed when the resurrect Johnny within two years of Hickman being off the book.

I don't know why you're saying/implying that they'll do it when Hickman is off the book. From the way the book is going it's obvious that Hickman himself has a game plan in place where he'll bring Johnny back.

My bet is FF #12 which I believe should equal Fan Four #600.

Yeah it seems like the most logical point to have Hickman tie up the plot points that he's been sprinkling throughout his run then.

The main thing about Johnnys death though is that while it did happen and he was straight up killed in front of people future Valeria and Franklin have still set in motion a plan to alter the past seen in FF #582.

Allred

Even if Fantastic Four turns out to be a dud everything about FF looks great.

Good thing he isn't on the team then.

While Hickman may bring the Doom stuff over to Avengers Fraction has said he'll deal with Doom stuff in FF.

Matt Fraction posted:

Whereas the Fantastic Four is about the Richards family having all-new adventures, FF is about an all-new Fantastic Four getting to meet the team's greatest hits, Fraction teases. "Suddenly, there are imposters to the throne and they come out of the woodwork for these guys."

Ant-Man has an agenda of his own, too, in addition to protecting the world. He blames Doctor Doom for the death of his daughter and, with the power of the Fantastic Four and the Future Foundation, wonders what would happen if they declared war on Latveria and devoted all their time and resources to eliminating Doom once and for all.

"It's a dark twist on what the Fantastic Four is about — it's the other side of the coin," Fraction says. "We have this Fantastic Four with a specific mission in FF and how can he direct and bring these people along with him?"

If you ever get Greg Land vibes from Mike Allred art please remove your eyes.

It's for the best really.

Yeah FF is the book that I wanted Fraction to write. Not to say that Fantastic Four itself wasn't good but this was on another level. The perfect level of serious, funny and weird. Plus it also got the whole "Reed keeping his illness a secret" plot point out of the way straight away.

It also really helped that Allred absolutely killed it on every page.

Yeah that was a pretty fun issue?

Bagley was on top form and it was set up combined with some fun character interactions. I don't know what more was to be expected?

I liked it.

It's a different book than what Hickman was doing, I'd hate for Fraction to just try and copy/redo what had just gone before.

Fraction's doing a fun space adventure/all ages book where crazy stuff happens and The Thing jumps from a ship orbiting a planet to punch monsters without any protective gear.

Yeah FF is still perfect.

I'd gladly pay for an ongoing of just Yancy Street Gang: Internet Jerks.

Reed made a Valentines card using time travel to remind himself to love his wife. A serious breach of the Prime Directive.

Yeah it was pretty

I liked this issue for what it was, a nice done in one Valentines Day issue.

Eh, Reed can be written as being somewhat single-minded (especially when we need to be reminded that he is a Man of Science, what are emotions). He can totally be a dick too, though.

It was a nice issue, would have been nicer if Allred had drawn it.

I love Allred but really can't agree that Fantastic Four is a book for him. I don't really care too much for Bagely but I think he's perfect for the "all ages Pixar" feel that Fraction is going for with the book.

The important thing is that people don't skip FF because it turns out it's still great!

And I absolutely love that Doom has a "Keep Out" sign outside his castle.
