I went with a high OBP guy who had C eligible position seasons in Anson. I thought about just a modern high OBP guy, but I realized that having a C would lead to a lot less passed balls and hopefully stem some of the stolen bases; conversely, Cap has some stolen bases in addition to his high walks, and I hope to exploit the people who don't pick catchers at all...

scallywag picks Hank Aaron, leaving me free to select Roger Connor in the two-man band draft. Connor + Maddux + Petco = Success? We can only hope.  I still have to move '88 Connor out of the 2B spot to put someone with no ratings there, but you get the gist of it. Pretty excited.

How bad is Ted Williams going to be defensively in this thing? He has some years that are not bad OF fielding and he's a RH thrower, but he's still an outfielder without speed. But jesus christ I can build a lineup that hits a combined .361/.507/.670 with Ted.
