If I knew nothing else about Bitcoins, the way they treated Jesse (the adult industry insider) would tell me everything I needed to know about the people who participate. I can't imagine treating anyone with that much intelligence and willingness to offer advice that way, no matter how much I disagreed with them. Combine that with a group of people who think that women are generally sub-human and -- Jesus. I felt horrible after reading that.

Perfect. This is just another step in the ultra-sped-up history of economics demonstrated by Bitcoin. In a month or two there will be a dozen competing chains, and everyone will suddenly realize the value in a centralized currency, a la the American colonies or the European Union. Only in this case it'll be impossible to actually merge all the alternatives, either due to a) technical incompetence or b) lolbertarian ideological conflict. Fun!
