She got a few buffs and she's probably slightly better than average.

• Close Medium Punch has less recovery.
• Crouching Medium Punch and Kick can combo from a hit confirm.
• Far Standing Medium Punch can be Canceled, just like Ryu.
• Vulnerable hitbox on far Standing Medium Kick reduced, making it harder to hit her out of it.
• Air Arcing Hurricane Kick can get more airborne hits.
• Recovery time on her Fireball reduced.
• Other various adjustments on making hitboxes bigger, damage, and recovery done to make her stronger.

Awesome, I can't wait to get this later.

I don't think it really matters what combo you do with Genei-jin up, the most important thing is that you set up a good mixup for the end of it. Only the first four or so hits are going to do any significant damage. I would even argue that you should sometimes cut it slightly short so that they have to be actively paying attention during the whole thing otherwise you'll catch them off guard and get a free reset. It's not like the extra three 10% hits are worth it.

It's based on distance and strength. HK and EX are the only ones that can cross up.

I literally posted one a page back pre-empting this question. Like systran said, the big damage comes off of the first few hits and the reset at the end. The biggest hitting moves in a genei-jin will always be palm and hop kick. Try to maximise those and cut down on the lunges since they're kind of pathetic damage wise in GJ.

I stayed up all night for this poo poo, and endured months of people with arcades telling us that this game sucks. For like 3 days I'm going to enjoy Evil Ryu and pointless Genei-Jin combos until this game makes me a cynical bastard like it did everyone else.

Yes. When you go to challange mode sf4 says something like "AE mode is disabled here" and it's just the same stuff from super.

No you're still playing normal Super. There's a toggle that lets you switch to AE when you have it purchased.

GJ feels a lot slower than 3S GJ though, like I actually have to take pauses in my inputs in a corner combo to stop them flying out into midscreen again, plus extended GJ feels really weird and I keep doing 3S GJ enders when the meter is like 1/2 done

I'm pretty sure the patch is just to integrate AE into super. You don't get anything unless you actually buy AE.

I'm not certain you will be able to play SSF4 on the PC one.

Even if you could, what exactly would you do? Just form like an alternate scene of disgruntled players who had their characters nerfed, and just play that way?

No, lots of people like him, and he has been in other games. Specifically, Capcom Fighting Evolution and Tatsunoko Vs Capcom.

Capcom being Capcom, I would think he would show up in SFvT because they are lazy and its likely they would just spruce up the TvC version.

You can change between SSF4 or AE mode in the options. If you're in SSF4 mode then you're playing SSF4. If you're in AE mode then you're playing AE. That's it.

Also Evil Ryu owns, here is some stuff I found out playing ranked for like 30 minutes:

The axe kick is an amazing move. Breaks armor, tons of damage TONS OF STUN and super safe.

E-Ryu's normals are pretty nuts. His low forward is slow, but it moves you forward, which means low forward xx fireball always combos (!!).

You can do some kinda wacky Bison-style pressure with low forward xx LK axe kick.

E-Ryu has the coolest bnb combo in this game by far. Stand fierce xx MK axe kick > low strong xx LK tatsu > HP shoryu FADC HP shakunetsu. so much damaaaaage

Oh and far standing strong is a craaaazy good normal. It beats the twins' divekicks clean at a lot of ranges.

He was in Tatsunoko vs Capcom

I'm holding on to hope for Karin to get into SSF4 AE. Yun was able to escape back from the horrible Capcom Fighting Jam into a real game, maybe there is hope for Alex and Karin yet.
