I believe the mute button was specifically invented for commercial breaks on SportSouth. The Braves games run about four different ads, with frequent showings of the flash mob.

The Shane Co. radio ads drive me insane. The guy's voice just grates and how long they run are ridiculous.

This one is a combination of every negative thing you can think of: It's the CREDIT MacDADDY! Bless small television stations. Bless them all. This aired on WALB-TV.

I've been seeing a lot of AT&T's commercial with the dumb father again lately. It's the one where he's told the new AT&T internet has an invisible cord and when he asks for it at the end of the spot, he's told he's always had an invisible cord.

I want to punch my TV every time it's on and I mute commercials.

Pajama Jeans: No, not for sleepwear. Everyday wear. They're stretchable and comfortable because, you know, no jeans are comfortable and no company has any with elastic in the waist. Nah, you can't just get a larger size in regular jeans and make them more comfortable. Pajama jeans are the only way to be comfy. And they're stylish, too. They have a mock fly.

I'm not 100% convinced that this is the same personal injury lawyer ad I saw this afternoon, but it has to be pretty close.

Not nearly as bad as Georgia Car Credit (holy poo poo, is that thing racist), but this is a slight step below the normal offensiveness of personal injury lawyer commercials.

You know that "Dreeeeaaaams. Dreams dreams dreams" song? I heard it in two commercials in a row last night. First was for Sleepys, then a Comcast ad came on next and it ran together perfectly to the point that I was confused for a second why the mattress ad had suddenly changed visual tones.

"All I Have to Do Is Dream" is name of the song. I'm not familiar with either ad (Charter-exclusive here), but the Everly Brothers originally sang it.

Over the course of about an hour this afternoon, I saw ads for Bubble Witch Saga, Pet Rescue Saga and whatever that thing is that's based on Peggle. It's amazing how much shittier they all looked compared to the free MSN games. That said, I still can't get over there being a board game version of Bejeweled.

It was either Clay Tippins:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G67Zxndb0Fw

Or Michael Williams who drove around in a loving DEPORTATION BUS. He wanted to use Cracker Barrel as meetup place for the bus tour, because, the clientele skews towards ancient and lily white. Cracker Barrel told him to get the hell off their property. He slipped into one restaurant for an actual meal (in Dublin), but when they noticed the bus, they kicked him out.

The Republican primary is headed for a run-off. It's between Kemp and Casey Cagle, whose best attribute is that he's not quite as nutty.

(Cagle will win the thing because the Dems' candidate is a black female (Stacey Abrams). She'll have exactly zero of the old white dude demographic, which is the majority it seems of what votes.)

When Cheetos popcorn is a humor standout in Super Bowl ads, that's trouble. Even it was overkill with M.C. Hammer.

It seems that nearly every commercial was either a) oh, look, celebrities or b) trying to make it seem like they care. Here's Verizon with firemen. There's an old dude using Google to remember his dead spouse. The series of Tide ads about the guy's stained shirt were dreadfully unfunny, too.

I kinda myself missing this mindless thing from ETrade.
