Yeah. I'll believe this "animals can use tools" bullshit when I hear a bonobo swearing like a sailor because it just dropped the twig-extender down the header pipe.

I was woken up at 3 this morning by a kitten mewing, at first I thought it was under my porch. Which, is nigh impossible to get under, after removing a few boards no kitten was to be found. I then figured out it was actually under my house. To my surprise I found 4 kittens and momma cat between the insulation and my floorboards. Because of their placement, I have only gotten two so far. I'm hoping to get the other later on, I had to stick my head between insulation to pull them out. Checked with the vet, 4 weeks old and hopefully won't have problems from the fiberglass insulation. Anyway, picture:

fork bomb posted:Keep us updated! Unfortunately, when I got home and crawled back under my house, I was not able to find the other two. I think momma came back and took them off. I crawled around to every spot I had seen them previously and even sat there waiting to see if I heard them crawling around and mewing. Here is where I found them. ![]() And now going to town on the replacement milk stuff. They ate a bit of the kitten food but definitely like the milk replacement. According to the vet 4 weeks or so. I figure they were born under my house most likely. They are also really quite for the most part, if they see me they start mewing like crazy. So that's probably why I didn't hear them till yesterday.
